I am quite surprised how realistic the sound is captured, but you have to listen over the HD600 with Sonarworks or my EQ (attached). Of course some information is lost, it sounds as if you were listening to a lower resolution of the original sound, but the frequency response is represented really well.

I really need to get a pair of HD600 so I can hear your tests the way it's supposed to be ^^. These two sound very bright, I also preferred the first pads, the other ones sounded too closed and boosted the treble even more!

Ich habe ja leider keinen HD600 mit Sonaworks Kompensation, sondern nur den HD58x (unkompensiert) als Abhöre. Die piercenden Höhen und die leicht zurückgenommenen Mitten kann ich aber auch darüber durchaus wahrnehmen. Am Aussagekräftigsten finde ich immer die Vergleiche zum original recording. Bei der Beispielmusik, die Du in diesem Video aufgelegt hast, kann ich mir kein Urteil über die Klangqualität des Kopfhörers erlauben, da ich nicht weiß, wie sie sich anhören soll.

Ich würde aber auch vermuten, dass die Höhen nicht neutral sondern erhöht sind. VG, Jörg

These headphones sound great. At least this is my impression when listening through Sennheiser HD58x and my laptop. HD58x are a little bit muddy in general so I decided to try with Fiio Q5s + Audio-Technica MSR7b. Well, they are really extremely detailed. Treble could be a little less but my hearing in the upper end is not so perfect in last few years so it's perfect for me. I like the sound signature overall.
