Earfun Free Pro Oluv's edition - sound demo (Patreon)

I am quite overwhelmed by the high demand and great feedback so far, thanks to everyone who ordered a unit or even 2 although the sale didn't start as smoothly as expected. In the meantime nearly all planned 700 units were sold. They had added further 200 units for sale which were originally reserved as backup for giveaways, reviews etc.
The first 700 units will be shipped out on March 20th, now they are planning a new batch with further units to be finished and shipped by mid of April and asked me not to publish this video now until they fix the issues with the site and can confirm production for the next batch.
But I don't want to let you wait and prepared some sound demos as most are probably very curious about what they actually ordered and how they sound like, therefore I'll just post it for my Patrons here.
I had prepared some sound samples as usual with the MiniDSP as after all the years of tweaking I know exactly how to insert an IEM to get a result which is close to what I am hearing which is a bit vague with the couplers. The current sound samples are close to the actual thing but still far from the real thing. The Earfun sounds much smoother in real life to me although the overall timbre can be hopefully judged quite well anyhow. But if an IEM sounds off in real life it will sound even more off through the MiniDSP, the smoother and more peakfree the response is the more realistic the sound samples will sound. I will try to work on a better method for my IEM recordings in future actually either sticking with the MiniDSP or finding a way how to use the couplers for this and using the Earfun Free for self referencing. This way we should all get the same results when listening to the sound demos over the Earfun Free, and all other recorded IEMs should sound very close to real life, just the Earfun Free will be "reference" thus sounding exactly like the original recording.
I am planning another last video about this project during the next days where I would like talk about the entire tuning process more in detail also demonstrating the whole history of my different tuning versions, how my version compares to the regular one and how exactly the filters I used are working and which purpose they have. This will be probably quite a long video and I want to shoot it more or less "live" showing you the effects of the single filters in real time therefore I need some preparation time to get everything set up smoothly.
Thanks to all and I hope you will like the final result which will probably depend a lot on our different earcanal shapes.
PS. Finally I got my new inear microphones (3 different pairs) which so far are quite promising regarding fit and handling, they are very comfortable to wear unlike my old ones which were too big to be fitted inside the earcanal smoothly. The new ones will add a bit more hiss though although I haven't done any recording tests yet still I hope I can offer you better results for headphone sound demos with better consistency as I am going to review the 3000$ Meze Empyrean and want the captured sound to be as realistic as possible. We should maybe find some common reference headphone that we all own or can purchase easily that is cheap but with a high consistency. The AKG K240 which I had planned for this purpose changes the sound too much depending on positioning. I could still stick with the HD600 and Sonarworks, if you listen with this setup you should hear the recorded headphones as realistic as possible as I can achieve it because the compensation is based on exact measurements unlike tuning by ear like I usually did before. Listening to the samples over another headphone will be just and approximation and will introduce errors.
