Fugoo again? Are their no new speakers to review?

Anonymous

Not always that’s why I like your opinion about it. And fugoo I can buy nowhere anymore. I just hope to see new products. That’s all. No hard feelings

the new Xsound Go should be delivered today, the Partybox on the go just arrived now. I should get a new speaker from Aiwa soon... so there is some activity, but right now I got a lumbago and cannot move that much. Need to wait until it goes away.

Nice things on the way. Hope you get well soon. Thanks

Oluvs, could you please test those speakers with Jurgen Paape - So Weit Wie Noch Nie?

I have always found the Helsinki to have a very slight "hardness" to its sound, and here against the mellower Fugoo it was quite apparent. It doesn't sound harsh, but a bit hard in the treble, if that makes sense. Btw thanks Oluv for showing what the Fugoo is capable of Eq:d, it is quite impressive sounding indeed.

I think this is because boosted also boosts treble. Sounds nice for low levels but if you increase volume treble becomes a bit harsh. It would need a better dynamic adjustment which unfortunately will never happen.

Get well soon Oluv!!!

I don’t know your opinion about sonos products. What do you think about sonos five, for example. And I know that you will don’t like this :) but I really what to know why your opinion about apple homepod.

I think Sonos has mostly really great products, we have been using the Play:1 for many years now. I also think that the 5 sounds really nice, but I probably won't buy it. Even if the sound was great, it still forces you to use their system. I sometimes want just to play some music from some app and not deal with an additional app from Sonos. The Homepod on the other hand never interested me, from all the samples I could hear, it has very weird bass, I probably would get annoyed with this.

I totally agree with you, if you have an iPhone, airplay 2 makes very easy to connect to the new sonos speakers. I don’t use the sonos app, just the airplay, and it is great. Sonos move is an interesting speaker, there are some reviews that complain that is not so great in comparison with sonos one. What do you think? I have a bose home portable speaker speaker and the sound it is ok outside, but indoor it is boomy and not so great.

I haven’t heard the Move yet, but the Play:1 is playing for several years now every day in our bathroom

Maybe, when you will have time and money, you could test the sonos Move. I bought a sonos one sl and I am very pleased with the sound of it, especially at low and medium volume. I think a stereo pair would be a great choice for a small or medium room. I use the sonos speaker only with airplay 2, without the sonos app.
