Fugoo XL vs Denon Envaya - sound stage comparison

Exacly as you have said the fugoo xl is like some good ol' wine, still a great performer, the treble well was not as high as the denon but still sounds more normal(just to mention it sounded less difused), and like the soundcore motion+ it deperses nicely, and with 4 tweeters stereo and dispersion get top notch, bass ofc is of another league that one feeled the room with that nice and deeeeep punch wich is funny because w/ so much tweeters i thought it would just be trebleheavy. By the way your way of telling the stories are really quite funny, and while playing the artist songs in background and showing diferent genres, it really is entertaing, i say that as a kind of person that's most interested in just the speakers. And one more thing about the new database, well maybe not the same thing anymore but since you will make it more simpler yet informative with the measurements then i approve, off i go.

It seems that the version you have isn't manufactured anymore, Fugoo just has the tough XL and the Style. Do you know if they are similar to yours?

oluvsgadgets

The tough XL is the same just the jacket is different. The tough jacket shouldn’t swallow treble that much but I never liked that armored design.

Thanks for the reply. I would be interested in hearing it against the Helsinki, if possible.

Awesome video. The bluetooth issues on the Fugoo are even more extreme here. I’m suspicious it may have relevance to the AAC codec which is used by Apple devices, as each connected device might be using slightly different version of Bluetooth communication protocol and also maybe different sampling rate or something, which would explain the impact on playing speed issues.... just thinking aloud but the issue is definitely very obvious in this video, I’ve never experienced it myself and also don’t recall it to be that noticeable when switching in your old videos, and boy were there quite many of them with different speakers. If you find yourself time, I would be really curious if you try it on an Android device. 😉

Yes it’s definitely AAC related. I tried it with my Shanling M1 which connects through aptx and there are no issues. I already wanted to try it in this video but it was not charged.

Any idea how Fugoo compares against klipsch kmc 3 in terms of sound quality and loudness?

oluvsgadgets

Klipsch is way more powerful. The Fugoo XL can maybe compete to some degree at really low levels but the klipsch is louder with much more bass at high levels
