Bravo! Fantastic Presentation! All the insights with the bass drum at the beginning of the video, the inside AND outside samples as well as the influence of the rock “wall” and placing speakers on the ground as You moved around are “A-Game-Oluv”!!! Thank You, a Real Pleasure!

hi oluv, i've been recently watching ur older videos about the fugoo xl, and as an old speaker, at the time it wasn't rlly that much reconizeable but now i kinda find it impresive, but well just out of curiosity like compared to this category of bbxes(xtreme 2, rave neo, and so on) would you still recommend the fogoo becuz it really showed and still shows some potencial as far as i could see, or is just an old relic?

yeah the fugoo XL was special, I liked it most completely without cover. It lacked some slight brillance to me especially at lower levels, at the same time at lower levels it even tended to sound a bit too thin as there was not dynamic bass compensation. therefore I liked it most around 60%, that was its sweet spot, but it was also a bit too loud as my daily level. on the other hand it started to distort heavily quite early and with some tracks it was unusable at maximum volume which was not that loud especially when looking at all the offerings nowadays. unfortunately I sold mine long ago as I somehow needed the money more, it was not easily available in Europe and I got a decent price for it. But I somehow regret it, because I would like to listen to it again now.

I wish the Teufel Rockster Cross was available in the states. While pricey, very impressive for its size. I noticed the weird compression at max volume on the Soundcore rave neo too. Also, when you tried Bang, did you enable bass+ in the app, I think it turns it off when you switch to custom EQ. Also not sure if there is something going on, but you can turn on Bass+ on the device when using a custom EQ. I did not hear any change but thought it was interesting. Seems like they may be able to improve upon the soundcore rave neo with some software changes.

So far I noticed that extra bass was always active even if you switch to user EQ, although it says differently within the app, but extra bass remained active for me until I turned it off manually.

I never had this bass fluctuation that you point out at the beginning of the video, but when I boost the bass on mine too high the overall sound dips in loudness

I just joined patreon for your videos! I missed them too much!
