I wanted to share this with you just to demonstrate and prove how phony the whole audio/review ploy is in reality.

The story behind this:
About a year ago I was contacted by a PR-agency who offered me to review the revolutionary Qeus flat membrane speakers from Germany: https://www.qeus.de/
The whole setup shown here including the Elac subwoofer should cost 1600€.
I was even offered some generous sponsorship by the PR-agent if I reviewed this product positively.
After the first listen I was speechless and thought it must have been some April fools joke saying to the PR-agent that these speakers were the biggest crap/scam I have ever heard. The company got upset claiming that I was not able to wire them correctly or that the speakers got broken, questioning my overall judgement. Just to defend myself: I did measurements of both speakers, they both measured exactly the same, thus both must have got broken to the same degree, they sounded the same regardless if attached directly to my amp or to their DIY-tinkered crossover box. There was no obvious defect at all, except that the build quality was abysmal, with the speaker grilles being just some cheap stickers already peeling off on their own.
Although the company proudly shows off their measurements on their site too, in reality the speakers measure like shown in the attachment. To prove my facts I finally recorded this video just for them (it is in German, but I added English subtitles for you now).
They were still convinced until the very end that I am some incompetent amateur. The whole story ended in some ugly dispute between the PR-agent accusing me of arrogance and even threatening me.
Listen by yourself, how the fuck I could even review such crap?
But that's how the business works with all those PR-agencies and "professional reviewers/influencers."

You can make lots of money being a reviewer, just not being an honest one!
