6/24 Status Update (Patreon)

Yesterday I put out a $10 preview build for the Netoria end of story update. I think at this point, rather than trying to get the public version out this month, I'll do a $5 test build on the 30th and the full one the week after. There's really no reason to force it to come out this month besides me saying that's what I'd like to do in the past.

I've basically gotten what features I wanted to include in the update, it just needs some more writing and polish now. But because there's so many variations, every small aspect takes a long time. The amount of variations, and the fact that I've added unplanned ones during development, means the epilogues are going to take a while. I also need to really focus on At the Mountains of Friendship in July. So looking at the schedule the first game to get an update after the new Netoria update is...

Naked Ambition, actually. The thing here is that this update is already done. So since this point in the schedule is when I planned for Naked Ambition to restart anyway, releasing this update will give me time to get everything else ready without having a big gap in releases. So, Naked Ambition. What was the plan for that again anyway?

When that game went on hiatus, what was left was the end game crisis and the actually endings. The plan was, and still is, to release routes in chunks. Getting them all done at once in a big timeline expansion like the past updates would be way too much work. So the next update, after the already done with with new random events, is going to have the end game crisis events and Ulric's endings. Why Ulric? Because he won a poll I did about it a long time ago.

That update is probably going to take a bit, because it's fairly big and I'll have there ATMOF monthly updates and the Netoria epilogues to work on too. But I'm committing to getting it done, no more hiatus. Naked Ambition is going to get finished and everyone is going to say "Wow, this game is awesome" or maybe "Wow, this game sucks", either way it will be out of my hair. Except for the fact that I still want to do Clothed Ambition, the SFW conversion like The Monster Within was to TF Card Battle. But that's for a different, less publicly updated label so I can be more loose with the timeline of that. 

So Naked Ambition fans rejoice, the time of the return is nigh. Sometime in July, it depends on how I want to handle the release of ATMOF. It's happening, for realsies.
