I know the big highlights for this month will mainly be with our releases, but we wanted to get some light previews out for art as well! :P Our cg artists have been busy getting some of the route episode art ready for v0.21 forward recently and I'm happy to say that we're looking good for v0.21, v0.22 and by the time v0.23 is ready, we'll easily have all of the episode 6 route art how it should look in time for those releases into 2024. ^^

One thing that we've been trying to figure out for the game as a whole is that there's animations expected from episode 5 forward, some more subtle than others. We wanted to take a look back at how to make it feel like animations with cg art in the game will be seen for new players even with episodes 1-4.

So! Part of that is the newly animation for stink line effects and fart animations! We know that these visuals might not be for everyone as well. We're already preparing plans to allow players the choice for accident outcomes, that way those who like wet outcomes can lean more into those visuals for example.

Ideally, the end goal will be to also add the option to display these kind of effects. That way if you like messy accidents, but you don't really like the stink effect or even just fart animations being seen. We'll be trying to get that sorted out as well.

[All animation previews are within the post itself this time! Keep in mind animation speed and visuals are adjusted purely for Patreon viewing. In-game the visuals will be their 1920x1080 and clear quality, along with the speed of the animation being adjusted to be quicker or slower.]

Here we have our first stink effect animation to look at! Not too much to say, except that we're making sure these effects aren't always the same looking for every scenario. We'll see a difference in this a bit further below.

This is our fart animation example, which might have different visuals as well based on the situation and overall view of a cg scene.

As mentioned, here's a different stink effect to compare to the Miki one. We really want to make sure these effects feel unique for each situation and don't lose their appeal to those who enjoy them.

We'd love to take in feedback or suggestions not only with these effects, but if there's other minor animation ideas you'd like to see appear within the game. We're looking into some options! ^^ (One idea on the table is to make wetting and messing moments become animated as well!)

One thing we'd have to figure out is which animations to loop and which ones play out once before ending. My only worry with animations that play out upon reaching a given line of dialogue is that if the player isn't aware of it, they could easily miss seeing it before it's over. My rough idea with this that could look kind of goofy in-game is if Miki is wetting herself, the animation is looped for a few lines of dialogue that makes sense. (That way it plays out to be enjoyed in the moment.) Then, upon reaching say.. 3-4 dialogue lines after it appears, the animation plays/finishes itself and ends on it's static image of showing her fully wet diaper.

We'll have plenty of time to work with these smaller animations, but please, now is the time to share any ideas or thoughts! ^^

I think this is a bit unnecessary. Maybe it can be added as an optional feature that can be toggled on or off later down the road once the bulk of the main story is complete, but for now, this seems like a needless waste of time and effort for something that would appeal to only a select number of players and wholly unimportant to the game's plot development.

All is well! Our development energy on this isn't a extremely major priority by any means. The amount of scenes in-game that feature these areas for visuals to appear aren't a ton, so it's more of a lesser thing for us to include with the quality of life fixes mainly. (Our goal for the quality of life fixes made to existing content itself is a lower priority than brand new content naturally, but we want to ensure the fixes are seen as finalized outside of returning to said content to add voiced lines.) That's assuming we can fund voicing of course. ^^"

I like it. Seeing more animation for accidents would also be cool but only if it doesn't put a strain on development.

Thanks! ^^ Yeah, for sure! We want to make sure we keep these extras things for art as low priority, so it won't be seen in-game for a while still. But, it should be a nice bonus!
