Background Preview: Campus Store (Patreon)

I bring our final bg art preview for the project! The Campus Store!

This is one of those locations that wasn't originally intended to be in the game, unsure if it'd really show up much, but after much thought. It felt fitting to include it.

In-game wise, it makes sense that within the setting of MA. The students can earn or passively gain "credits" which are used as currency at the school to buy their food, drinks, snacks and besides those needs.. There's some general stuff like hygiene, clothing, entertainment, general items, etc. If the campus store doesn't offer something, a student can make use of the touch screen computer in the store to place a order for something, then swing by the store in a few days, week or so to check if it showed up.

The art doesn't manage to show off all of the stores items clearly, due to how hard it'd be to do that without more angles, but just know that in-game it'll mention what kind of items are carried even if it isn't seen in the visuals. :P

Overall, I think adding this location to the game will help bring the world setting together just a little bit more and really back the feeling that as you go through the game, it feels as if the setting is a believable place that could exist and function. (Maybe minus the diaper rules? <.< But it is a elusive and secretive school after all to the public, so who knows! :P )

The bg art only has one variant, since the store doesn't have windows, the lights are always on and chances are if it was closed for the night.. Well, no one would be going to the location.

(Ending note: Since this is our final bg art needed for MA, I'd like to briefly mention here that it was a huge pleasure to be able to reach out to our original artist "Olivson" once again. It was nice to have her tackle these last few bg pieces needed and I hope that in the future beyond MA, we could work together once again!
