CG Finished Preview! Episode 1 Reunited. (Patreon)

[There are no major spoilers related to this post, unless you haven't completed episode 1 in the game. :P]

Back in September, we had a 7th year student Patreon Supporter help bring one of the earlier existing moments to life for the game as cg art! That's what we'll be seeing today in this preview below!

This cg art is related to episode 1, showcasing when Brandon and Erika first encounter each other for the first time after being split apart for 5 years prior to the academy due to their parents divorcing. It would seem fate has other plans in mind though! As the two have a lot of catching up to do and how different are they from what they remembered in their past together?

This finished cg scene features 4 total variants, none are animated.. But it's more to showcase the expression changes along the scene by the two characters. Let's jump into it!

As mentioned, this moment takes place shortly after the two cross paths for the first time at the academy in episode 1. To be precise, right after John suggests the two can share a text book together due to having a shortage on text books. Plus, he assumes it'd be better for Brandon to work alongside someone he already knows.

Technically, this would be the very first cg scene that new players will see when playing the game now! Prior to this, the first instance of seeing a cg scene wasn't until later when Erika gets a bit irritated by being teased and figures flashing her pampered bottom at Brandon would work to make him stop.

During the scene, the two are taking the chance to lightly catch up with one another. Naturally there's questions that Erika has for Brandon and vice versa. Brandon is curious about how Erika is attending at this kind of school and Erika is just as curious, given it was and very much, still is intended to be an all girls school!

The two will begin to learn that within the 5 years of being apart, while some things stay the same, there's enough time for people to have changed quite a bit!

One mention to address Erika's up-skirt shot in the cg art, is that it should be viewed not in the eyes of what Brandon can see, but rather you as the viewer. So when Erika later does flash him, it's technically the first time he's met with the realization really hitting him that all the students really do wear diapers. (He's aware earlier of course, but more so in the sense of it really hits him.)

As the two continue to catch up and learn the truth of how their parents have been in the past 5 years, it really gets to them as they quietly focus on reading to themselves for the rest of class.

Overall, seeing this moment come to life is exciting! I feel like with episode 1, it can be a bit off-putting for some new players given it is a pretty lengthy experience to sink yourself into the world of MA's setting. Not only that, but visually.. The bulk of the cg art for the episode takes places later in the episode, so it kind of feels like a looong journey to see your first glance at how things will look in that regard.

So in that sense, I'm happy with being able to have this moment come to life and more! ^^
