Sprite Preview: Michelle Tondreau Urbain (Chelle) (Patreon)

Our sprite preview we'd like to share today with everyone is focused on a side character oc! This is part of our 2020 Kickstarter campaign rewards from backers at a set tier, which allowed a very select few first come, first serve to claim their right to have their oc included into the project!

In total, there were 7 of these rewards offered. 2 being main character level oc's and 5 being side character level oc's.

With that out of the way.. It would seem we have a small report already documented for Chelle, so let's take a look at that below! [Warning: Chelle has a bit more natural body hair than others do in the game's cast and as such, her visuals below will reflect this with some outfits.]

Personality Traits: Likes to tease boys, always the first one wanting to start a party, tends to put on a tough girl image while only very rarely actually getting angry towards people. She can be real bratty sometimes when things don't go her way.

~Student's Details~

Chelle recently transferred to the academy closer to late Spring, along with a couple others around the same time. Much like a couple other students attending, she came from another country and so it took a little bit of adjusting for herself to ease into her new living situation within the school. Other students have mistaken her short height, getting the wrong first impression of what to expect personality wise out of her, but they'd soon find out about her louder and striking personality that throws some students for a loop.

While she seems happy to have been accepted to the academy, it's very clear to teachers and staff, that she's a bit of a troublemaker for them at times due to her dislike for the school's strict rules and policies towards it's students.

She has recently joined the Science Club and seems excited to learn more about Biology, as it's one of her favorite subjects with a fascination towards how the human body works. When it comes to hobbies to keep herself busy, she enjoys swimming, dancing and playing/listening to music.

It would seem that it hasn't taken Chelle long to become friends with some students, as we've noticed her at times hanging out with the Student Council President, Heather and Vice President, Juliet. It seems that she finds a shared tendency in how Heather thinks very highly over herself and mocking other students, but Juliet has been helping keep her out of trouble thanks to Juliet's complementing calm and more collected personality to counterbalance Chelle's loud and sometimes bratty behavior.

There's still some mystery to Chelle, that we've been trying to pry into and learn more about. We can't quite confirm this data, but it would seem as if there's more to Chelle than what she's willing to share with others, something as dark as her knee-high boots, locked and hidden away inside her heart, of which only she holds the key to unlocking the truth... It might seem we'll receive our answers in due time, as Brandon's curiosity is piqued, but will he be able to get her to open up to him, or will she remain to be this curious new girl who refuses to shave?

Well, with the report out of the way! It sounds like Chelle has some secrets stored away for us!

Since Chelle has a unique aspect about her visually with body hair and it might not be something everyone is into or wishes to see generally by default. We've taken this in mind gameplay wise and rest assured, it'll be left up to the player completely later after first meeting Chelle, if you as a player wants to see her without her school uniform or casual outfit on. (This is something that ties into all side character oc's, allowing the player to first meet the character and get a good idea of them, before choosing to lean into these paths a bit further to learn or see more from them.)

The way that side character oc's will be introduced in a fitting way into the overall story, is a little different than what we have in mind for the main character oc's that'll have their own route focus at some point in development popping up. The side character oc's will each be found in select routes that make the most sense for them to show up in, with Chelle, this would be Heather and Juliet's routes.

This is because for Chelle's case, her introduction is tied to being freshly transferred and still getting her barrings around the academy. With that in mind, the student council typically step in and help with showing new students around and easing them into the school as a whole to help take over so that teachers or staff who might be busy with other tasks don't have to set time aside to do this.

Of course, what we see with Brandon doesn't line up with that line of thought as John decided it'd be easier to appoint Erika to naturally help him out, since they already had a history together.

When figuring out which routes make the most sense for these side character oc's to be displayed within, we've been looking ahead and making sure that these decisions are the best suited for the game's story, but still delivering a great experience for said oc's showing up and making the most of it.
