July Dev Update #2 (Patreon)

Running a little behind on this Dev Post!

We're working together on trying to get episode 5 ready for the end of this month and I suspect we'll be just fine even with Artie's slight warning that he originally had for me, that the coding might slow him down a little than normal naturally with jumping back into the project and working with the new overhauled system in place for how sprite positions are handled compared to how we used to do things before.

So far we've got the finalized gui textbox assets back in the engine and functioning nearly ideally and getting through the scenes one by one, so I might end up asking for a test build sometime next week so we can hammer out any issues if there is anything that shows up, but it sounds like we're.. (Fingers crossed) Back on the rails of development again!

I might've not mentioned it in the previous dev post, but I did try to reach out to the previous programmer for answers and possibly Ren'py files to help out early this month on the 2nd. I still haven't received any response from them and so I'll just take that as their official stance? And move on as we have already.

As a bit of a side mention, I'm happy to say that cg art has been moving along at a super fast speed! I'll be sharing a final preview look at one later tonight and then next week we'll see our first concept preview for one regarding Miki's route, which is very exciting! Details for Rachel's art needed for her route have been passed along as well, so we'll have some very solid updates to come here along with v0.20

~Closing Statements~

In the coming week, it'll be pretty busy naturally! I have quite a bit to share and post in the following weeks after the release as well, such as polls and the return of behind the scenes for writing, which have been missing in action for a long while.

The goal with Patreon posts will still be setting aside set days when posts are made through each month, but trying for a better quality experience instead of massive amounts of posts. More or less, a better flow of posts without feeling overwhelming for myself and for many who aren't always keeping up to date as often. ^^"

Excitement levels are rising, but I'm trying to keep it contained until the moment is ready. ^^
