1 year anniversary post! (check out goodies and more) (Patreon)
Content
Today I have some very special news to share with everyone as today marks exactly 1 year since we first released update 0.01 and began our journey in making Messy Academy. This is going to be a very huge post, but this should be one big reflection post on an inside look of just how far along MA has come along since then. It’ll be a big blast of behind the scenes, what could’ve beens and cut content, the interesting details leading us to where we stand today.
With that said, before we jump into the long post. We’d first like to celebrate our 1 year anniversary by re-releasing three old updates of the game. So below are three carefully hand picked updates that we feel highlight how far the game has come along since we started. It isn’t much, but new fans to the series who weren’t around during the time might get some enjoyment out of these. Maybe even old school fans might wish to check things out and refresh their memories a bit?
Either way, consider this our small tiny gift to mark our 1 year anniversary in progress on MA. Thank you all for supporting us, as your support has clearly helped shape MA into how far along we are today. <3
[Update 0.03]

~Update 0.03 was our last update before we began slowly replacing 3d placeholder stuff in the following update. It’s big highlight in content was that the game had chapter 1 fully tweaked and fixed up to play out better and the free day was fully finished too. That’s right, MA was originally going to have a chapter to chapter flow for the game and have some free roaming moments between chapters. But more on that later with our behind the scenes.~
[Update 0.05]

~Update 0.05 was our last real update before we rebooted the series leading into 2020. Technically there exists a version of update 0.06 that isn’t the reboot, which featured the 2nd free day for only 3 girls before things were scrapped. Otherwise this update’s big highlight is slowly seeing more 2d art replacing 3d placeholder assets, chapter 2 added. This is a great update to see the biggest difference in how things were leading for the game before it’s reboot with update 0.06 to where we stand today.~
[Update 0.07]
{mac}
{windows}
~Update 0.07 isn’t the one that marked the “reboot” for MA, but since update 0.06 which is considered the reboot update, only featured days 1 & 2. It feels more fitting to suggest update 0.07 where it offers days 1-6 in similar fashion to how they feel even to this day, just with some differences here and there. Mainly day 5 punishment and how things changed, plus I think there were some 3d placeholder assets still or even sketch placeholders, etc. A great update nonetheless to see how chapter 1 events were changed to fit within the new day to day approach to the series, which feels much more fitting.~
Now that’s out of the way, for those interested in our behind the scenes reflection of sorts on the game. Continue reading along below, as it’ll be a mix of myself (lead creator/director and writer), our editor, Uncle Artie (who was the writer during updates 0.02-0.05) and possibly a little bit from our sprite artist, LisadiKaprio too! As we go down memory lane and randomly just toss out things we recall about working on the game, things that stick out or interesting facts, etc. Hope you’ll enjoy it!
(Below will just be randomly bringing up stuff, there really is no concrete way of doing it I think. The best I was going to do is just start the beginning addressing how things first began with MA in comic form briefly, thoughts on it and the pre-update 0.01 planning and work involved with that, with kind of just going along the lines of “Oh Update 0.05! I recall how crazy the diaper changing/testing moment was, etc.”)
Uncle Artie: So here we are. One year into Messy Academy and it’s still a fun ride. The days of the short lived comic are long gone and it’s great to see how much bigger the story and world has become since then. When did you start doing the comic?
Princess Bridget: It was roughly late 2018, I believe. The ideas for MA had been something floating around my head for a few years prior and so I thought. “What the heck, let’s try this!” Which led me to creating the comic using 3d models and honestly… I try to forget the comic even exists. It ended up being a 6 part comic and aside from some characters and a general plotline, I wouldn’t even consider the comic canon or have any ties to the visual novel.
Uncle Artie: I remember when I signed on, you talked about it a little bit. I think they’re lost now but you did send me a couple. It was certain… something haha When did you decide to switch to a different format?
Princess Bridget: Sometime in spring of 2019, I think. I just remember thinking to myself. “This isn’t how I want MA to be known as.” There was way more to it and so it led me to thinking how to tell the story of MA and it’s world, characters, etc. The first thought was to simply do a pure writing only, releasing chapters monthly. I looked around into getting used to some visual novel engines and decided in order to really feel fulfilled with MA, I’d have to make it a visual novel. While reading alone is fun in it’s own right, there’s just something about seeing visuals to really add to the experience.
Princess Bridget: I think it was during the summer of 2019 where I did a lot of figuring out of finer details for characters and a rough idea for how MA would work as a game. The original plan was a 10 chapter game and had a more serious driven story in a sense, it’d focus on character building, but it was to have a more defined general story. Currently MA doesn’t feel like this, but there is a main academy storyline to be told still.
Princess Bridget: Anyways, work began and after a good bit of time. Chapter 1 was roughly put together and ready to release.
Uncle Artie: What’s the official first release date of MA?
Princess Bridget: September 6th. It made use of nothing but 3d placeholder models from the comic and background locations seen from the comic as well. While some people did like the 3d look of MA, I’ve always had it in mind for the series to be 2d with time. Many of the characters were limited in how I could really display what they were meant to look like, hence why you’ll see quite a difference in some 3d models of the characters vs their current 2d sprites. Same goes for locations of the academy, etc.
Uncle Artie: The models looked pretty good for the program you were using. Everything did feel a little limited though so it was nice to get LisadiKaprio to join us later. From what I remember, 0.01 was pretty bare bones. I think it was just Chapter 1, wasn’t it?
Princess Bridget: Yes. At the time it was meant to be a single day at the academy. To compare it to current MA, days 1-5 would roughly have been seen in chapter 1. Funny enough chapter 1 was the “Intro” and my thought process was to cram all the characters being introduced during this, aside from the side girls. Plus if you pay attention you’ll notice much of the driving point was to show you around the academy and learn locations, etc.
Princess Bridget: Update 0.01 featured the famous punishment act, but it was clearly played out differently than how it does currently on day 5 of MA now. I could talk about the punishment act with John for a while. It’s the one area of the game that no matter how much time has passed by, it always pops up again and again. There’s always been issues related to this boiling down to John being the issue with the scenes.
Uncle Artie: Oh God. Yeah, the punishment act haha That was nothing but grief since Day 1. I think we’ve tried almost every trick in the playbook to try and make this scene and end the problems.
Princess Bridget: I think so too. It went from being a forced spanking/messing with blowjob into having the option to stop the blowjob part into removal of the blowjob part. Then we got to the part now of no choices, but the spanking/messing happens regardless. With update 0.14, we’ve added a choice so that players can choose to step up to John and convince him not to punish a girl at all. Hopefully this will be seen as our final nail in the coffin for the whole famous punishment act. :P
Uncle Artie: haha Hopefully. So that brings us to 0.02 where I joined the team. It was just the two of us back then as you were trying to do everything yourself. My job was mostly to help you out with the writing and editing. Haha I think when I joined you, we were 1 week away from the deadline for 0.02 as well.
Princess Bridget: At the time we were releasing new updates every 2 weeks and boy, do I not miss that!
Uncle Artie: Same.
Princess Bridget: Sadly with that in mind, I was still pretty new to the engine I was working with and just getting my footing down with how to use things. So I had you become a full time writer as we pushed forward.
Uncle Artie: Which was no problem. I was just finished with The Rest of Our Lives and looking to write something a little different. The character sheets were a little bare but they seemed interesting and for 0.02, you wanted to start doing the Free Day system so it was a good chance to learn some of the characters faster.
Uncle Artie: I’m sure there’s a few fans that still remember those Free Days but for the new fans, why don’t you try to explain what we were doing.
Princess Bridget: It was meant to be an open map roaming days thing between chapters to help break up the linear flow of events. You see, chapters were originally not going to have any real choices aside from big events like the punishment act. So that’s where free days came in to help let players have some more direct input on what they’d like to do.
Princess Bridget: Players would get to choose how to spend their morning, noon and afternoon with the main girls. I think there were plans later to add the side girls for the 2nd free day after they’re introduced, but we didn’t make it that far and it would’ve been even harder for how big the content was. The way things worked though was that each girl was in different locations without any context to what they’re doing there until you went to check and decide to hang out or not.
Princess Bridget: Fun fact: If you chose to punish a girl during the end of chapter 1, you’d not be able to hang out with that girl during this free day and if you tried. They’d react aggressively towards you because… Well… You kind of got them punished at the time.
Uncle Artie: I remember some of the free days were wild because you already had a couple of ideas down here and there and we were trying to brainstorm ideas for the rest of them while I was quickly flipping through all the character sheets. With only the one week before 0.02 needing to be done, thankfully, it was just the 6 main girls back then. (Zoey, Lola and Juliet had only a couple of bullet point notes on their sheets and we would start to develop them later.)
Uncle Artie: I forget who we finished first. I think it was Rachel, Nova and Heather for that update but I might be mistaken. I tried to stick to people you had already finished a section of and I think it was Heather’s punishment scene and Rachel masterbating in the bathroom that I saw and just continued with. Nova might have been later because I was still trying to figure out how her humiliation kink was going to work.
Princess Bridget: I oddly enough had backlash from some for Rachel’s masterbating scene in the bathroom during this update. To keep it short, there were concerns that her 3d model made her look too young. I think was the issue, still unsure really, because all the girl 3d models used the same base body type and face styles.
Uncle Artie: All the pedophile talk was weird, especially considering they didn’t look too different from the other 3d models you see in these types of games all the time. Well, I guess their chests were a little smaller haha But it was nice to move into the 2d models and get away from those comments.
Princess Bridget: Also during Update 0.02, some mentions from early fans weren’t quite sure if MA was meant to be a full on visual novel or if it’d be more of a dating sim, maybe a hybrid? So there was confusion with Update 0.01 with how linear it felt to some and it led to the whole free day thing being added.
Princess Bridget: Just to be clear, MA, of course, is a visual novel and not meant to be seen as a dating sim really. But there was hope from fans that you could point and click on backgrounds to roam around the academy similar to some dating sim flash games out there. Sadly, it just wasn’t meant to be a dating sim style game like that.
Uncle Artie: Haha yeah, wasn’t going to happen. Not with the idea we were hoping to move forward with. Which brings us to 0.03. We had the full two weeks to work with so it was a good time to go through Chapter 1 again and finish off the Free Days.
Princess Bridget: Support was slowly showing itself too as fans started signing up on patreon. While not anywhere near what we have today, it was a small start and would lead to hiring LisadiKaprio as our sprite artist. That way we’d have some visual progress being shown. Sadly, I think many aren’t fully aware, but even to this day, I really don’t take any personal money out from the funding for my efforts on the game. If I do it’s such a small amount where 95% of the funding is directly for the rest of our team.
Uncle Artie: LisadiKaprio was a huge boost to the team. A great artist who really turned the 3d models into some really cute sprites. Having her start on the characters helped put our minds at ease and we started to focus on what the main plot would be.
Uncle Artie: She was kind enough to give us a few words to add here to share her thoughts on the project.
LisadiKaprio: I had the most fun making John and the nurse! It was pretty tough, as both have a unique body type compared to others. But something about making big characters express the perverted side of them is very amusing!
I'm happy I'm taking part in the project :^D Thank you, Bridget
Uncle Artie: She’s too cute. Thank you, LisadiKaprio!
Princess Bridget: Very cute! :P I was shocked to hear that about John and the nurse. I feel they’re not seen as very likeable characters, mainly John, but that also means things are working in a sense.
Uncle Artie: 0.03 saw us bouncing around a lot of ideas and we introduced the idea that John was using trigger phrases to mind control the girls into doing the punishment and it also introduced the Principal as a potential character who was up to no good.
Uncle Artie: Finishing the Free Days also meant that we could start to think long term on what the 6 main girl’s personalities were going to be like.
Princess Bridget: There was still much going on for character development behind the scenes at this point, trying to get the right feeling of certain characters and how they’d progress or act. I think many fans see Heather even to this day as an odd one with how she comes off early in the current version of MA and progresses along, but it’s intended like that.
Uncle Artie: We also worked on introducing little side characters, like Bindy AKA Charlotte, who was only created because you had added a random character to the 3d CG in Miki’s free day scene to make it look like she wasn’t just playing alone haha
Uncle Artie: After reading through what was initially written for that segment, I noticed the other character didn’t say anything so I just went with it and Charlotte was born.
Princess Bridget: The introduction of Charlotte, Rosa and Allie came around. Not all at one time I think Rosa and Allie came along a little after, but as you mentioned, I tossed a random background 3d character in one of Miki’s CG scenes at the time for the free day and thought nothing more of it. If it weren’t for you, we possibly wouldn’t have Charlotte, Rosa or Allie in the game.
Princess Bridget: I’m glad we do have them though, as they’ve proved to be fun, fitting characters as supporting roles. Thinking about it, I wonder just how current MA would feel for some moments if these characters weren’t there?
Uncle Artie: Aww. Thanks.
Uncle Artie: Of course, Charlotte wasn’t the only thing in that scene that, it also saw the game Hoovernatch being created but that was just a demented version of D&D meets Clue that I cooked up after eating too much sugar to get into Miki’s mindframe.
Princess Bridget: Hoovernatch was such an outlandish sounding concept to me when trying to picture it being played out, that it just felt perfect for Miki and how she comes off. Oddly enough, I think we’ve both talked about seeing a more indepth standalone game or something where it has characters playing hoovernatch, letting the player first hand try it out. Would be very cool if so!
Uncle Artie: It would be fun to explore one day. Just to see if it’s possible to dungeon master as Miki for an entire game and still have it be playable haha
Uncle Artie: So that takes us 0.04, where we got to start Chapter 2.
Princess Bridget: It gave us about half of Chapter 2 introduced. I think after this update or during this update, we swapped to releasing new updates every month and stuck with it since then, as it’s less stressful and allows for more content per update and less downloading overall.
Uncle Artie: We needed to go to a full month/release because Chapter 2 was going to be huge. I think it topped out at 50,000 words when it was all said and done. It mainly just had the boys going around and checking out clubs. It was going to be the way to help introduce some of the other characters. I think Lola was introduced around this time as well as Rosa and Allie.
Princess Bridget: Update 0.04 did in fact introduce Lola and Chapter 2’s focus was introduction to clubs. So if you wanted to compare days 8-12 in current MA would’ve been what took place during Chapter 2, aside from some stuff that didn’t return. *Cough* Diaper exam *Cough* :P But we’ll still possibly see this return in current MA in the future where it’ll be more fitting.
Uncle Artie: I still shudder at the thought of that diaper exam haha I think our first 2d assets made it into 0.04 as well.
Princess Bridget: Miki was added, but the rest of the assets were still 3d placeholders. So it was an odd clash of seeing 2d with 3d. I was so happy with how Miki turned out and still to this day, many months ago we did some redesign and touch ups on older sprites or characters who felt in need of changes. Miki was one that just didn’t need anything. Of course, some new expressions added for her came along, but she felt fitting already. If I changed anything it wouldn’t be right.
Princess Bridget: Update 0.05 finished up Chapter 2, which I think was mainly the diaper exam. But there was a bit of stuff leading up to it still. I think this would’ve marked a good spot for how our future update process would have flowed. Showing us that we now had a free day figured out and under our belt, while also fully tackling a new chapter. The rest of the future for updates could move along similarly.
Uncle Artie: We were starting to get into a groove around that time and we were already talking about the Idol Festival and other big plans.
Princess Bridget: Thinking back on Update 0.05 the biggest thing that always haunts me even to this day, is the diaper exam… As we mentioned before, Uncle Artie was mainly handling the writing, but for this I was helping out to ensure the amount of writing would be reached before the update would release.
Uncle Artie: It was insane!
Princess Bridget: It’s crazy to think just how huge this was for the game! Nothing seems to have topped it yet in seer word count on writing and engine work was no easy feat either. I think by the end of it, we both agreed that any future big event moments like that would have to be cut back and be tackled carefully.
Uncle Artie: Definitely taught us a lesson haha.
Uncle Artie: Thankfully you helped write because we weren’t getting it done in time otherwise. You focused on writing the diaper stuff while I focused on the dialogue. I was and still am not very good with the diaper fetish. If you were playing back then, diaper stuff was pretty minimal as I tended to focus more on the characters and the bigger main plot we were working on. It played a big part into why we went into the reboot direction in January.
Uncle Artie: The way this worked was, Brandon could choose to join a team of two girls and then you’d go through the process of having each girl use her diaper and then there was a changing event at the end where you changed them. So we’re talking 6 scenes of girls using their diapers and getting changed needed to be written out and programmed in less than two weeks. It came out to 40,000 words just for the segment alone.
Uncle Artie: You would start by writing the scene for Nova, who was paired with Heather, and then I would go through it and make changes and expand upon the interactions and then you com back in to make sure the diaper fetish was properly represented. We’d then take the same structure and carry it over to Heather, adjusting the dialogue and such and make the scene feel more personal. Then we repeated it for the 4 remaining girls. I think we managed to finish it in 3-4 days so you had enough time to try and program it all in.
Princess Bridget: I think Erika and Bridget were one group, Heather and Nova as another, with Miki and Rachel as the last group. It would then go into having these two and yourself test your diapers out. During that, it’d have choices there that affected things and then three choices would show up after all of that. You’d either let John change the girls, the nurse or I believe see if you could do it on your own, etc. Either way it was massive thanks to all of this.
Uncle Artie: haha In a way, it was a little fun but we’re talking in a serious masochist kind of way haha
Uncle Artie: In more fun news, Update 0.05 was when Juliet was introduced and her personality back then was wildly different to what it is now. We were still working out the finer details of her life back then (a lot of the stuff is the same in the reboot) but I started experimenting with a Fire and Ice approach to Heather and Juliet. Heather’s fiery passion was to be pitted against Juliet’s cool seductive nature. The original idea for them was being rivals against each other trying to win Brandon as a slave.
Uncle Artie: Her introduction scene sees her and Heather fighting each other with paddles as they try to spank each other’s bottom. It was wild and I recommend you check it out if you only know the rebooted version and are a fan of Juliet. It’s definitely something to see.
Princess Bridget: Update 0.05 did introduce Juliet and I think she’s always been an odd one, same goes for Lola too. I’ve always had this sense that Juliet should be Heather’s rival and she comes off like that in the comic, but she was planned to look similar to Heather as well. While it could’ve worked out, I think even though Juliet might not be a major fan favorite. She’s still more unique and when paired up with Heather now, there’s a nice mix of how they can play off of each other.
Princess Bridget: I think honestly all the side girls changed quite a bit from the very beginning, but it could’ve been a bit interesting to see how Lola or Juliet would’ve processed like this.
Uncle Artie: It definitely would have been very different. How they look now just fits them better I think.
Princess Bridget: Update 0.05 I think I wanted to introduce Zoey into the game by this point possibly? But there was still quite a bit going on with trying to get the right idea in mind for her character.
Uncle Artie: Yeah, I think we had just too much going on so we were going to save it for Chapter 3.
Princess Bridget: Her original concept was that she was Nathan’s cousin still, but there would be a mystery element to her that Nathan would’ve filled in the blanks. Letting you know that Zoey fell into a long coma at a younger age when she was in middle school, which would’ve explained why she acted really childish, in a different tone.
Princess Bridget: There were many issues with this, aside from trying to write a character like that. What would they say or act like? Would they be aware they’re actually an adult? Would they still think they’re trapped in their younger body? Etc. But on top of that, since there’s sexual things going on in the game, even though Zoey would still be an adult, just with the mindset of a kid, it felt like a really odd grey zone that I really didn’t feel comfortable with risking when it all came down to it.
Uncle Artie: Yeah, I remember now. That’s why she was delayed. We were almost starting from scratch with her again. But by then, we were also starting to talk about the reboot so it was added to the list of things to change.
Princess Bridget: Update 0.06 (Before reboot) that’s right. There was actually a forever lost in time by now version of update 0.06 which may or may not have been released. It didn’t make it very far before being scrapped, but it focused on the 2nd free day content. I think we had Erika and Nova events roughly figured out before deciding to take a step back from the game and see the bigger picture before deciding to reboot the series, due to direction, etc.
Uncle Artie: Almost forgot about that. I think we had planned to break the Free Day into three releases so we had some extra time to work on Chapter 3’s planning but then decided to go into a different direction. Once the reboot was actually official, I decided to step down as the writer.
Uncle Artie: My decision was more based on a sports mentality than anything else. If you’re going to rebuild a team, replacing the coach to bring in a different mentality and thought pattern was the best way to go. All the mind control ideas and focus on the school needed to go so we can return to a simpler story that focuses on the fun elements of the diaper fetish. So I needed to take the rejected ideas and step away so new ideas could come in.
Princess Bridget: It was an odd timing with how everything played out during the transition to get the reboot going. I believe it was the start of December 2019 and it was just a really depressing time for me without getting too personal in detail. I had work pressure (Not project related) and during this, my corgi of 10+ years had to be put down due to an infection. (A small nod to my corgi is a moment where Juliet has a love for corgis, seeing one of Rachel’s plushies when checking out her club for the first time.)
Princess Bridget: Either way, it was a rough December with things going on and mentality how I was feeling at the time. Then on top of that, I wasn’t too sure if the reboot would end up working out or how fans would see it as. “Will they see it as a failure? Will they look at MA as a project that’ll do this often or have no clear direction?” Many thoughts went through my head with the project and outside of the project.
Princess Bridget: I think my first thing was to ensure that for December for those who supported, I’d not only keep people updated on the reboot news, but also do a lot of public related stuff with this and oddly enough December saw a pretty good boost in support even with the clear idea that Update 0.06 would be the reboot demo and only feature days 1 & 2.
Uncle Artie: You asked me to stay on as the editor and I was happy to help as you searched for a new writer. As we searched though, we determined it would just be better for you to focus on the writing yourself. You had a bunch of great ideas on where you wanted the story to go and another writer wasn’t going to cut it. So it was time to move forward with the reboot.
Princess Bridget: That’s right, I nearly forgot. At first my goal was to get a new writer onboard, but after giving them a bit of a chance and thinking things over, I decided it’d be best to handle writing. There were plans to possibly let another writer come in and take over after I had a good basis written down. But ultimately I chose to stick with writing full on and while I’ve had offers for backup writers or extra writers getting in touch with me, it felt fitting to keep things consistent with one writer.
Uncle Artie: We went forward with Update 0.06(The reboot one). I don’t remember much, just it being small. Like we were trying to break chapter 1 over a few days to test out the new format while trying to find a new writer so there wasn’t much to it.
Princess Bridget: Update 0.06 released I think on or a day before new years eve. And yeah, it was very small on content I think. It was days 1 & 2 only, which is the exact same days 1 & 2 we still see in the current game pretty much. It took the starting events of chapter 1 and some stuff from chapter 1 ended up getting scrapped or expanded on for the reboot, some events were placed around differently, etc.
Princess Bridget: The goal was to have a more day to day feeling to the game where you show up to the academy and during the game, you’ll end up feeling as if you’re spending day in, day out with these characters, settings, etc. Day 1 took the intro into the academy and made it section 1, expanding on it greatly. Section 2 took the idea of hanging out with Erika, which I can’t recall now if it was the same as chapter 1 events. Section 3 would act as Miki’s intro and I believe this was a bit new, as it played up the idea of Erika and Miki being friends. While also having Erika act as a support to introduce us to Miki in a natural way, etc.
Uncle Artie: As much as it borrowed from the old chapters, a lot of sections brought new content with it and a chance to expand on some of the character’s introductions so right away, it was feeling like the rebooted format was a good choice.
Princess Bridget: Day 2 would expand on Miki and get a little one on one personal time with her. Then section 2 was new in that it featured introducing Juliet early on in the game. It would give players a real good sense of who Juliet as a person is, learning that they’re a princess, but they have this sense of not wishing to be seen as differently, etc. Section 3 would take Nova’s intro from chapter 1 and expand on it. But this was all there was for content and while it might seem fine, at the time with how big I thought chapter 1 felt in total. I thought to myself, this is so little for content… Fans and supporters won’t enjoy this.
Princess Bridget: But in the end I think to make up for December supporters, I let the demo update be exclusive for 2 weeks and then let the public try it out. I don’t know if it was the reboot or just how we handled things, but as we went into 2020. Our support on funding continued to grow and we had already slowly begun having cg art added too.
Uncle Artie: The new year felt good as, like you said, people responded to the new format favorably. Starting to replace those placeholder images with actual CGs was very rewarding because it was something we had been wanting since day 1 really and it was nice to see some scenes get some visuals.
Uncle Artie: Which brings us to 0.07, probably the official sign of the reboot being in full swing.
Princess Bridget: Update 0.07 was a good update and featured days 1-6. I actually wanted days 1-7 as the Update 0.06, but clearly I always try shooting for bigger goals than I can tackle. :P It was good overall, as many sprites were added in the update, new emotes and cg art came with it.
Uncle Artie: Well, you were rewriting that punishment scene again at that time so it ended up running a little longer than we would have like but still, getting day 6 in there too was a good accomplishment.
Princess Bridget: This was the real true starting point moving forward for the reboot process as each update moving forth would aim for adding content seen from before the reboot. Just added in fitting ways or expanded on, even new content that wasn’t even around beforehand.
~Conclusion~
That about wraps up our post!
2020 has been an odd year overall, but for the project we not only went into the year guns blazing on the reboot. But we managed to get gui art elements added, sprites are fully finished, background art is done and soon music for the game will be fully finished by October! We hope to get cg art really moving along like we once had going again by October forward and look into getting a programmer hired on sometime late this year or early next year. But that aside we’re continuing writing, editing and putting everything together into the engine.
It’s wild to think that a year has already passed, but I’m sure before we know it. We’ll be celebrating our 2 years celebration and have a crazy amount of progress to show from now until then to look back on.
Thank you all for sticking with us and supporting us! It’s a little goofy to say this, but MA really wouldn’t be this polished or far along without the support from our fans and for that, thank you!
