VNDB (visual novel database) news! (Patreon)

Very quick post, some of you might've seen about the project being posted over on vndb.org which is a website that hosts information about nearly all visual novel games released or in progress, showing characters and details about them, etc.

I forgot to mention it, but I decided late last year to add MA to the website for people to find it and check it out from there. Letting them be redirected here to download the current public releases and discover us on patreon.

Well I recently updated the entry for the game over there to have everything recently up to date to match the game. So the summary details for the game is there, characters details, some screenshots, etc. Making it look nicer and much more finished looking compared to what it looked like months ago on their website.

If you'd like to check out how things look and possibly rate the game over there based on how you personally feel things are so far, that would be super awesome! But by no means are we trying to force anyone to do that.

I just wanted to share the news about it and by all means do feel free to continue discussing about the game on other forums, within the communities, etc. We continue to see growth each month and with it, will come more to see from us in content that isn't restricted by time straits. ^^

Edit: Some characters are missing still and will be added later in May. When I do some updating for that entry over there on the site again to match the new design visuals for Erika, Nova, Rachel and Heather.

I did leave a vote, but i noticed that the website don't allow some tags, and the diaper tag seems to be one of them. It will be hard for someone interessted in a VN like MA to find it on the website if the "main fetish" is not on the tags list

The tag VNDB uses for that sort of content is "Paraphilic Infantilism" and Messy Academy does already have that one listed under its Sexual Content tags so... it's more or less about as covered as it can be on that front I think. Though on the note of tags, I might suggest adding in some additional ones which also seem to be relevant to the game as well, to help with discoverability as Kavuu mentioned. The main page for a list of "Sexual Content by Activity" tags has a bunch of possibilities for example, and it can be found here: https://vndb.org/g835 Just at a quick glance, some of the ones I see that match content found in the game's scenes are: Masturbation, Urination Fetish, BDSM, Sexual Content By Location, Blowjob, Voyeurism, Female Domination, Exhibitionism, probably a bunch more that I didn't spot that would apply too, so on and so forth etc. etc. (EDIT: I noticed after I posted this that some of these were already there when the "Spoil Me!" tags were all shown, which don't appear by default of course, but some that I mentioned are still not accounted for that could possibly be added still as well.) I'm not sure if there's some kind of limit to the number of tags you can use per entry or what, but if you still have room to add more, adding some in like that should probably help I would think. I didn't realize it was on VNDB at all but I don't visit the site very often, but I do like that it is on there! Another small but interesting detail that I noticed is you listed all the characters' full names (except Heather mysteriously hmm... ) and that was neat to see because so far I think only Nova's and Juliet's have come up in the dialog within the game if I'm not mistaken or forgetting any parts.

Thank you! ^^ Sadly it seems like they used to have tags for more stuff, but had to slim down on some of them possibly? My guess is with diaper tag they can lump it all into "Paraphilic Infantilism" and I think if you try using the tag search function, typing diaper in should pop that other tag up to click on and show all games related to diapers or having some element of it in them. Not the best site for some games no doubt, but I figured no harm in having it here just in case. One thing that will happen here on the patreon to match stuff with the kickstarter coming in June and vndb, is to add characters in the about section and have their details, summaries, etc. ^^

Thank you for pointing out some stuff! ^^ I know some as mentioned in your edit are spoiler related either minor or major. I'll take a look and add more that relate to it, I know when I first tried adding tags to it months ago. I was told to only really add stuff if it's seen in the game currently, the only reason some stuff is still there on that page is more to do with them not able to remove tags once added or it's a pain? Regardless, I'll take a look and do some updating for the page anyways in May to add the rest of the cast and do some more updating, stuff like replacing the current images with the new designs as well, etc. Also a note on the character names, those are the official names of course. :P I do think only Nova's has been mentioned in game and Juliet's as it's made sense for their given sections when it was added. It's very possible to see some other mentions later if it makes sense to do it, say if reading Miki's homework. Brandon could take notice of her last name on the sheet, etc. Just some minor stuff. Also about Heather, I won't say anything. :x
