Hi everyone! ^^ Welcome to the later half of this month's new post updates. If you're new to this, I cover a general view of topics. These range from MA news coming for upcoming updates, features and stuff with patreon support, etc.

(1) Update on GUI elements. These are still hard at work and still looking like the finished elements will be included into update 0.08 coming on the 29th of this month. There's some minor polishing and fixing of things to make sure there's no major bugs with it. (look out for preview screenshots of the new gui elements soon.)

(2) The art updates. Update 0.08 is looking like it'll most likely end up having both Zoey and Lola final sprites added to the game. With Lola still in the process of being added into the engine for her section, but I foresee it being a very high chance she will be in update 0.08 along side Zoey. ^^ (enjoy the nice cosplay outfits in her sections :P )

There will be 2 new cg scenes in 0.08 one is Juliet which shows up in day 2:section 2. The other one will show up during day 4: section 1 with Heather. (more cg scenes will come faster with more funding, ideally 1 or 2 a month currently is our budget.)

We'll see our first final background added in update 0.08 which is the front of the academy. We're hoping to shoot for 2 new bg's per month, but of course this will be based on funding for the given month too.

Last note on art, if anyone has OC sprites that have yet to show up in the game. We're keeping an eye on it and while it's taking some time, we haven't forgotten! <3 (With all the club related events popping up, it should be expected to see them show up in update 0.09)

(3) Update 0.08 what to expect. There will be days 7, 8 & 9. Zoey & Lola sprites. 2 new cg scenes. 1 new bg art. final gui elements added. Along with trying to add some unlockable content based around affection or set choices, this should relate to sex related events or important things. An example being day 6 if the player chooses Nova or Bridget, this should affect later moments with either character based on if they hung out with them.

(4) March news. I don't have a lot to share about March yet, but there is a chance that the update for March will come out early in the month with less content. This is because I might be taking a vacation towards the end of that month, away from my computer for about a week or more. I know this isn't the best news to hear for those who want more content quickly.

These details will be updated early in March and everyone will be aware of the situation for update 0.09 and how the content will be affected by said vacation if it happens. (Sorry >.< )

(5) Supporter news. Once again I'd like to remind $10+ supporters that starting on March 1st. The added new perk will be added for you guys to be given access to the given month's first day of content before the actual release. (If March has days 10, 11, 12 in mind for update 0.09 that means you'll get to play day 10 roughly about 7-10 days into that month. Same for future months, etc.)

God mode will return as a perk but I'd like to take a look at it carefully before just adding it back. Right now the game doesn't really make use of unlocking anything special yet, but update 0.08 will be the first to start adding some unlocked content based around affection or choices made. God mode would make it so you wouldn't have to worry about anything above, you'd automatically unlock the content when you decide to play through. (fair warning this might make some unlocked content feel out of place or confusing for select choices that lead to the unlocked content.)

(6) Kickstarter progress. If you guys don't know yet, we're planning on running a kickstarter for the game sometime in May. Which gives us roughly 2 months until then to get things ready for it. What exactly are we trying to get done and why?

The kickstarter outside of our monthly art assets being added naturally. We need to hire someone to help with the kickstarter page visually, this will cover banners, icons, profiles for characters, charts, etc. Everything you'd expect to see on a page like that.

Then the last major thing I'd like done with the above that will cost us money to hire someone is video editing. They'll help make not only an actual opening for the game to be seen when it boots up, but also have a version of it used for kickstarter that goes over the highlights for those who are discovering about MA for the first time. (one music/song track for the video)

Ideally in these two months, I'd like to have these two things done and while it doesn't directly go into the actual game dev resources. It's very important because while we're very thankful for all of you loyal and awesome supporters who do choose to help out monthly or even any amount, sharing, etc. The funding needed in order to complete the ideal game will cost quite a lot and not to sound dreadful, but if we pretended that roughly 300usd is our stable support monthly for each month moving forward for this example. We're looking at the game being done with everything or most assets by 2021 summer (give or take). But with the amount of cg scenes we're looking at in total for the game on rough guessing, it'll cost us 10,000usd roughly just to cover the costs for all the cg scenes we'd like to have in the game...

Of course we will do what is needed to complete the game with or without all the cg scenes, even if that means still trying to get new cg scenes added years from now. Then that will be the course we take on it, again I don't wish to make it sound dreadful. It's just that I'm fully aware of the situation, which is good to know what to expect realistically. <.< But not so good when you have to be the bearer of said news.

So the reason why for kickstarter? Is because if we can gain a goal, even if it's 2000usd. That is a decent chuck that we can fully make use of for covering the costs for assets like the above, but also it would help cover getting bg art completely done. This is one less art asset area out of the way to put more money into cg's or music, etc. That's just the start of it of course, depending on how much support and funding we receive will determine just how far the project can really make it. There's always been plans for after the base game to look at adding new content for free and addon stories to continue support to the game.

Also I have touched on the subject between kickstarter vs patreon support. Needless to say, rewards that you guys earn for perks will match for those who back the kickstarter. (you won't need to worry about anyone getting better rewards for less than what you guys pay on here.) There will however be new shiny rewards and perks with the kickstarter that exceeds our $25 support tier, some that might seek worth it or fun in your eyes. ^^

With that, our last news post for February. While update 0.08 won't have many new days added, there will still be some very nice work being shown visually between the new gui and bg stuff added.

I'm excited for you guys to get to see the events that take place in this update, plus 0.07 will become public on the 29th as well. So the public will finally get to check out what you guys have been able to play for the last month by that point, but you'll all have the new days, sprites, gui, etc. <3

(One thing we're happy to hear is how much people actually enjoy the character/world building & story events, instead of just the sexual stuff. It makes us happy as we have hardcore sexual stuff in mind as things progress, but we don't want the stories and other important stuff to fall flat because of it. I really care for each character when choosing what events revolve around them, putting myself in their shoes for it.)
