news update post 7/7/2019 (Patreon)

Hi yall! Once again back with another news update.

So the last few days has been exciting progress for the visual novel, I'm about half way done with the script for chapter 1, which is the size of how big the first demo will be. (Least 1-2 hours long if I had to guess)

The visual novel will have at least 10 chapters in total if not more and each chapter will consist of 10,000 or more word count. This should give a good idea of how much more bigger the visual novel is in relation to the comic. That's just the base game, as a few months after the final release is finished, I plan on adding a few expansion addons that add about an hour or two more worth of content.

I know 10,000 words for a visual novel doesn't seem like much, but that's just a goal for the minimum per chapter.. To give a better idea of it. I am currently sitting at just a little under 5000 words in the script and the story has only introduced two main characters, with one still being finished being introduced to.

Right now I'm still on track for getting a end of July demo released, while chapter 1 is one big introduction to the story and characters. There isn't a whole mess of events and choices right away, but that isn't to say there isn't anything interesting and fun in this chapter. There is a big choice at the end of the chapter and after that, things just pick up crazy fast from there!

Without trying to spoil any major story for the novel.. there will be a chapter entirely taking place at the local beach with some fun stuff happening there. So fans of beach themed episodes in anime or other media, will love knowing there's that to look forward to!

One final thing before I go. I wanted to share with everyone that while this game is still in the works, the story and plot for the 2nd game is already being worked on a bit. This 1st novel will actually have a ending to the plot line and wrap up any loose ends, leading into where the 2nd game takes place and how things turned out the way they do, etc. (Sorry for being vague, no spoilers :P)

Anyways that's all I have to share with yall for now, I would share a few pieces of the script on it's own to show off progress, but it's not very interesting on it's own.. I mean it's good, but I don't want to share any story as I'd rather everyone get to experience it first hand. With that said, hope everyone had a happy fourth of July weekend and I'll be busy these next few weeks :) (maybe have more to show next weekend)
