The Patreon support has been back! I am super appreciative of your patience and support!

I've been receiving a lot of requests asking me if I can add their OC/characters into the game. With the current layout, this task seems quite hard to realize. However, changing the entire game into an MMD layout (more like the SizeBox which can import VRM files) may help to solve this problem. 

Since changing the structure means I need to redesign the whole schematics, like maps/models/actions, I would like to hear your idea on this decision. I'll take your suggestions and modify the game in future.

Pos:

1. Customizable characters (you can import your own characters into the game) maybe actions also.

2. Anime-style graphics (maybe like Genshin style)

3. Possibly less requirement for the computer (since the mesh is much less than the current game)

Neg:

1. Take some time to redesign the whole project (change the character and map style also the control character logics), so it won't take place really soon

2. Sacrifice some realistic graphics since the MMD style may use more low poly models.

3. Kind of similar to the Sizebox with better graphics (maybe) and slightly better destruction effects (also AI features maybe?)

感谢大家一直以来的支持,patreon已经重新恢复了! 本月的核心目标是把AI控制完成,但是我也想和大家聊聊看未来的游戏风格设定。

最近因为有很多人都问过我能否定制角色/导入角色。按照目前这种游戏框架来说这个事情没法实现,但是最近我研究了一下MMD的框架(和sizebox类似),是可以实现角色导入的(使用vrm文件导入),这也许可以解决自定义角色的问题。

但是如果要更换框架的话基本意味着要把游戏重做,所以我想听听看大家的意见,我会参考并作为未来的方向。下面我把好处和坏处列一下

好处:

1. 自定义角色,可以使用vrm文件导入角色

2. 更加二次元的画风(我会努力做到类似原神的风格)

3. 可能对电脑配置要求会降低,因为模型面数会显著减少,破坏的房屋模型也会替换成低模(为了配合风格)

坏处:

1. 可能要花点时间来改造,所以不会立刻完成

2. 会牺牲画质(目前不敢说多好,但是还算是不错的),替换之后应该会往3渲2的风格走

3. 会比较类似sizebox,只是有更好的画质和破坏效果,然后可能加入AI控制一类的新内容,等于变成了新版本的sizebox了。

we have enough MMD style games I think. I like this UE5 look. although speaking of custom characters... it would be nice to be able to customize the models. You know like a Skyrim character creator. Or Honey Select/ Koikatsu games. You would need to edit the models though and add blend shapes with sliders. as for the Mesh quality, i think it's fine, at least for me. But you could add a LOD or FOV function, where objects that are far away/outside of view (behind) have their Textures and mesh reduced to nintendo graphics. Might fix the problem for some people.

Yea, UE5 has a automatic LOD system which works ok I guess. The reason why it’s lagging badly is pretty much because the destruction system which I need to kind of optimize it in the future. Anyway thanks for your feedback! I guess from the polls I’ll stay with the current graphics and add more interaction.
