The release of AI Shoujo, the times passed and the times yet to come (Patreon)
Content
I now view AI Shoujo as out of early life support, and only lacking some mod bugfixes and uncensor for males to be recommended for the common user that doesn't want to deal with the massive amount of problems common in early life game release, as such it's worth to stop for a spell, take a look back at the week passed, and discuss how to proceed from here.
In under a week since release, the game has received a outpouring of output, both from its creator, Illusion, with 2 patches and from the modding community, picking up their toolbelts and jumping head first into the fry, both addressing problems left by Illusion, and extension of functionality. I for one am really grateful for the time the modders have put into this game already, and have my eyes peeled for their future efforts. I have received A LOT of DMs, some requesting help, some giving tips and pointers, and even some that just want to talk to me about misc subjects, it has been tiring, but it might be the most fun I've had since I started doing this almost a year ago.
You all have also shown to be extremely helpful, giving me a big boost on patreon, making me finally break even on expenses vs earnings on patreon, something I never expected would actually take place, and engaging in troubleshooting with me. THANK YOU ALL, both patreon pledgers, people who've spread my pack and those of you just simply using it, I really appreciate it
As a result, in line with my goal on Patreon that I'd start surveying freelancers to get a card server up and running, I have done so, and it has been accepted by a user I very much trust, so expect updates on that eventually. Me being able to do this is all thanks to you all!
The next AI update will probably be R2, unless illusion sends a wrecking ball at my planning again with yet another update. I will also return to finishing up Koikatsu RX1 and Emotion Creators R3 (Yes, I see no reason to discontinue this for reasons that will become clear eventually ). I've also completed preliminary work on a PlayHome R2 pack for those that've been requesting such a thing, and I got some smaller surprises packed away in between, so do look forward to it
