Heya Patron Penguins!

Just wanted to update you all on some stuff, and also get your thoughts on something. First off, the Majora's Mask LP is here....and Nintendo really doesn't like that apparently. Literally the moment the first video was finished processing, it got hit with a Content ID claim. Never had that happen with any of the previous Zelda LPs, so not sure why Nintendo is being such a stickler with this almost 20 year old game (even Ocarina didn't have this issue). As a result though, it seems very likely that the Majora LP will not earn me any kind of ad revenue, meaning I will really be relying on you guys' help. This has been a super highly requested LP for a long time, and I don't want to drop it because of Nintendo's claims, nor do I want to "paygate" it like some kinda dickhead. So just know that your patronage during this period will be very much appreciated, and I'll hopefully give you guys the LP you've all been waiting for!

I've also adjusted some of the long term goals to be more....realistic. I've sorta settled between the $4500-5000 per month range, so I generally moved the goals a bit lower to make them more obtainable. So the adjusted goals are now:

$4500 (was 5000) - CoV Editor (Since this is a goal we've reached and I've committed to this already)

$5250 (was 6000) - New merch items like t-shirts

$6250 (was 7000) - More anime analysis videos

$7000 (was 8000) - Animated CoV intro

I figure these goals seems a bit less impossible now. If you guys have other goal ideas, I'd love to hear them!

Also, in regards to the Council of Voices editor position, I have received all the completed tests from the 15 finalists and am sorting through each one. There are some really good ones in here! I may post the winner's finished work once I've made a decision too (with their permission), so you guys can see for yourselves. :D

Lastly, something I've seen other YouTubers with Patreons do is post each of their new videos on their page as they come out. I haven't really done this, just because I post them pretty much everywhere else (twitter, facebook, etc) and the fact that I post almost daily, makes me feel like it would be overkill and spammy if I did it here. That said, I also don't want people to think my Patreon is dead or anything with a lack of posts or activities. And YouTube subscriptions can be damn wonky at times. So I thought I'd ask you guys what you think! Let me know how you feel in the poll below!

Anyway, just want to thank you all again for your amazing patronage. You all are seriously the best! Look forward to a video poll for the next livestream game later today, to vote on what I stream tomorrow night!

Love you, guys. <3

For me personally it would be a bit spammy for them to post here since I get notifications when you tweet and upload to YouTube. That being said, another notification wouldn't be so bad. I voted don't post here, but really I'm indifferent :)

I hope my patronage is enough to help support you during Zelda LP since Nintendo sucks. I've never touched that game and am going in blind like you and am looking forward to it.

I feel like one post a week about the videos? Like on Sunday, you make a post showing what videos have been uploaded this week.

Nightmare_Shinigami

I would say you post a video when you start a new LP, for Counsil of Voices Episodes and other little stuff.

Incase of having issues with the algorithm picking up the videos and stuff u can always post videos here I'd go with the logical road. Just do it whenever it makes Sense to do so ^^

Don't want to be too inundated with updates. XD On a slightly more serious note, glad our contributions are helping. Yay~~

Just updated my pledge to give you a bit more! :)

Yeah I don't really think posting every video would be necessary as you do post videos pretty often and I think constantly getting notifications when I already get them elsewhere would be annoying. The prospect of more anime analysis excites me as it's been a while since there's been any anime content on your channel, analysis or otherwise. So I'll definitely be contributing towards that when I get the money.

I think it might be a little overwhelming if we got 3 notifications every single time you posted a video but an alternative you could do is everytime you announced or start a livestream you posted on patreon because if it wasn't for patreon we wouldn't be getting these bi-weekly streams

Glad to see a lot of things are falling into place, including the new Majora's Mask LP. Though it sucks Nintendo are being such a butt to you about it, especially considering the fact those guys make revenue in almost EVERYTHING that has their brand sticking out. It'll take me time, but I'll try and increase my patronage little by little to help support you and the channel. I may not always get the chance since I've also got to save up for a trip to Washington to visit my sister and the 2020 Japan trip the following year, but you are one of the YouTubers I genuinely enjoy and believe in who delivers quality content. ☺

I feel it would be pretty spammy if you posted it here as well.

Just the important updates here Nico, you’re fine!

SonicKing2004

I see it less as spammy and more like not keeping all of your eggs in one basket. After all, there's a difference between uploading notifications of your videos (which is what you're actually doing on Twitter and Facebook) and uploading the actual videos themselves. Thinking of keeping up backup just in case YouTube decides to block your videos for no good reason, or if you experience issues uploading to them. That way we can have somewhere else to go in the watch should YouTube fail again.

Honestly? I don't really even pay attention to Patreon. xD I just get an email from them monthly about who I'm sending money to and leave it at that. I signed up to support you because I like the content you post already. My vote is the important videos and updates you deem necessary. As you said when starting the Patreon, don't give us special privleges over the other Picky Penguins because we're able to donate a dollar a month. We just want to see our favorite friend be able to do what he loves and make the community all the better.

It's fine if you just post for important stuff, I mean you post a video almost everyday which is better than most Youtubers who have a patreon, so if you post only for things that YOU feel is important is perfectly okay. You posting videos is more than enough to show us your patreon isn't dead.

If you're trying to attract new subs, maybe posting in Patreon when a new LP series begins would be helpful. I literally joined Patreon so I could support you, so I don't know if it even matters to be showing specific activity on here. I would find getting an update here daily for every video annoying. But if it helped your business, I'd probably put up with it.

There is a big trouble with YouTube, currently. In Europe, the European Parlement is talking about a new law for intellectual property with the famous "article 13", claiming that the responsibility of what is on the plateform fall down to the company hosting the plateform and it's up to them to moderate their content. In short, you post an video with copyright infrigement, the company can return against YouTube, even sue them and ask compensations. It's up to YouTube to check if you have all the rights necessary to publish this video while now it's more "I'm just the host, i cannot control everything, tell me the incriminated stuff and I will gladly remove it". Being scared of that, YouTube made his Content ID bot a bit more severe and no longer protect big channels and network. Currently, the bot analyse only recent (6 month) videos. But if the law pass as it is, they must launch Content ID with no restriction time and well...I think almost every let's play you make may be claim. It's quite a bummer.

I don't think posting videos here would be necessary, but I don't mind
