Thanks got it working now but getting frequent DirectX errors and the game is crashing. My graphics driver is up to date. To be specific I'm getting: DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respond to more commands"). GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M", Driver: 49649. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers.

I got it to work after closing razer cortex, I followed the troubleshooting you listed out.
