In the first episode of Amazon Prime's "Undone," titled "The Crash," we are introduced to Alma, portrayed by Rosa Salazar, a young Latinx woman who experiences a life-changing car accident. This near-death experience unlocks her ability to bend time and communicate with her deceased father, voiced by Bob Odenkirk. Created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and Kate Purdy, the same minds behind "BoJack Horseman," the show employs a unique animation style called rotoscoping, adding a layer of surrealism to the narrative.

The episode sets the stage for Alma's quest to solve the mystery of her father's death, a storyline that will unfold throughout the season. Trivia-wise, it's worth noting that the show's unique animation technique required the cast to perform in live-action before being transformed into their animated forms, a process that took over a year to complete. This episode not only serves as an introduction to Alma's world but also challenges our understanding of time and reality, themes that are central to the series.
