I can't believe how close it was between Sci Fi and Comedy but I decided it was time to call it; we're going for more space this time around!

Hmmm, I voted comedy but I'm not mad at these SF movies. All are great (with the exception of Fire In The Sky, I can't get past the fact that Travis Walton is a giant faker, his family are hoaxers, the "witnesses" are criminals and fraudsters with a very clear financial incentive to lie.) My vote goes to the The Abyss just because it hasn't had the recognition I feel it deserves.

Damn, OK, if you watch the Abyss, please try to watch Director's Cut, the additional scenes (30 minutes) really tie the movie together and completes the story better. ( I seem to be saying this a lot, but Blade Runner and The Abyss are two favorites that are MUCH better that their theatrical releases)
