A heads-up for anyone who subscribes through iOS (Patreon)

(I didn't even know there was an actual app for Patreon lmao)

I got an email notice today that Apple is insisting Patreon add a 30% fee to all transactions through their iOS app. This is apparently starting in November 2024. Meaning if you subscribe here via the iOS app, you'll be getting charged an additional 30% starting November. I would definitely suggest subscribing through the website instead!

They're also apparently not allowed to have a 1st-of-the-month billing option because of iOS requirements, so in November 2025 the only option will be subscription billing. Meaning you'd be charged monthly based on what day you subscribed, if you're still choosing to support at that point.

In short, Apple sucks my entire Ass thank u for reading (and let me know if you have any questions, I'm being told about this just like you but I'll try to answer anything)
