I've been working on the main menu recently. The dancing animation that is currently there was only meant to be temporary, but people seemed to like it so I left it. It's bugged me how basic it always looked though, with a lot of empty black space. So I've been working on updating it and improving the dancing animation too. I'm keeping the music the same though, despite it being commonly used, that's the music I associate with Lunar's Chosen now.

I'm also working on the first story scene of the update, which is Amy. It doesn't look like she's going to "win" the poll to get no content, so she's a fairly safe character to start with.

The polls are still running if you want to have your say:

This one is to vote who should be the focus of the update.

This one is to vote who should get no content in this update.

One thing I am considering for this update is whether to focus on story content for the characters or whether to drop some story scenes and focus on a few more repeatable scenes instead. There are a lot of locations and times of day to visit them in the game, but the world feels a bit empty. I always want to pad it out, but seem to run out of time with other things. Perhaps that'll be a poll I'll put up soon. I'd be interested in people's opinions.

You ever think about if a dynamic main menu would work for the game?

Dynamic how? I've considered one that changes as you progress, but it's a lot of work for little payback.

Good question about whether to focus on more story vs. more repeatables. The stories are always fantastic, but I agree it's a good idea to maybe pad out the world with more repeatables? I've noticed that when the story narrows toward a particular event (e.g., meet XYZ girl in ABC place in the evening) to progress, I wind up "taking a nap" or "going for a walk in the park" a lot because there isn't really much else to do while waiting for that event to occur. Some more repeatables spread across morning, afternoon, and evening could help make that time between story events more interactive and entertaining. Just my two cents, either way it will be great -- keep up the excellent work!
