V0.21 Progress Update #2 (Patreon)

It's hot. I mean really hot. I'm not referring to the update though, although that is pretty hot too, not I'm talking about the weather. For those of you that don't know, I'm in the UK and the weather here has been rather warm this last week. Thankfully today and tomorrow is meant to be cooler, but then it's getting even warmer again next week. Why am I telling you all this? Because unfortunately the heat effects development. 

Rendering kicks out a tonne of heat and my office is already a heat trap. Even in winter, it stays warm enough to rarely ever need the heating on, even when it's snowing outside. So you can imagine how it is in summer. This means when it gets really hot, I can't render because it just becomes disgustingly hot.

That has slowed development a bit, but thankfully I've still managed to get a lot done. I've taken the chances where I can render to get stuff done, meaning I can use the days where it's too hot to render to write. 

That all said, I've actually got all the content I wanted for the first beta done. I just need to write a little more and then it'll be ready. Which means the first beta will be ready for Friday! It focuses on early game events, since that won the poll that's what I've been spending time on, so there's no new content with the main characters, but I am introducing some new characters and themes! Did someone say Giant? If you've seen the first set of preview images, then yes, yes they did.
