Poll results (Patreon)

Normally I just let the poll results speak for themselves, or add them on as part of the progress update, but this time I'm going to make a separate post to explain the thinking behind the poll and what I'm going to do about the result. So for those of you who didn't see or don't have access to that tier, the poll was whether or not to make Amy dominant in her relationship with MC. This means she'd be slightly more aggressive with initiating sex as well as topping the MC more often than being the bottom.

The poll results ended with "Yes" being the winner, but only by a couple of votes. So, I'm actually not going to go down that route. I made the poll with the intention of finding out if there was a clear majority who wanted that content as I had received a lot of requests for it. 

So even though "Yes" won, why am I ignoring it? Well that's because personally, I don't want to go down that route with Amy. To me, that's not her character. She's a confident, fun loving and open minded person, but she's not aggressive or dominating. Despite being extremely fit, working out a lot and having the muscles to show it, she's actually quite a gentle person. Having her become dominant would go against everything her character has developed. 

Now, does that mean she'll never top the MC? Not at all, she definitely will, she may even request it *spoilers*, but it'll be a one off request, it won't be her preference. After the first request, it'll be up to the MC to request it in future events. So it will be an option and she'll be happy to do it, but it won't be something she actively pursues. I feel like her wanting to do something the MC wants fits much better with the story and relationship they have, as he has done a lot for her and she wants to pay him back for that. So for those of you that want that content, it will be there and for those of you who don't want to see that, it'll be optional so you can skip it.

Usually I will go with whatever result the poll gives me, but in this case, it wasn't a large margin and I personally feel strongly about how I want to present the character in this instance.  I hope that gives you some insight into my thoughts behind this. I don't want people thinking that I'm just ignoring the results of polls or that polls don't matter, they do.
