V0.1 Progress Update #4 (Patreon)

It's been over a month since I've posted a progress update, but it's been a busy month! Not only have I been working hard on the update, I also go married! Thankfully this was just the small legal ceremony, so it was fairly calm compared to what I'm expecting for the big celebration in another country in a couple of months! 

Anyway, you're here for a progress update, not to hear about my marriage so let me just start with the fact that V0.1 is now complete. I'm sure there are still plenty of bugs and typos to fix, but content wise it is finished. If anyone wants to play it right now, the third beta is available here! 

As I've said before, the reason for Episode 2 is I wanted to overhaul a few things and change the way the code worked. Thankfully, that wasn't as big a deal as it could have been and a lot of things didn't need changing, but one of the big ones is the preferences. The content in Episode 2 is going to be a lot more modular in terms of what you can enable and disable. 

Futa content is always a big deal for people. Some people want it off completely, others want it on, but don't want all the characters who are futas to be futas. Others want them all to be futa, but don't want them to fuck the MC. So here's a preview of what the preferences for futa content looks like:

As you can see, you can disable futanari content completely. Or you can disable it just for individuals and choose who has a dick and who they get to stick it into. 

This also works with content types:

Don't want to see content involving feet? Turn it off! Don't want to have sex with the tall muscular demon? Disable it! You'll be able to turn off huge amounts of content, but there are two key things to remember:

1. The more content types you disable, the shorter the game will be! You'll never miss story content for disabling a content type, but it could significantly shorten the length of the game.

2. This only applies to sexual content. If you disable pegging for example, you'll disable all scenes with the MC getting pegged, but you may still see another character, say in the club, getting pegged if it were relevant to a key story point. Similar with pregnancy content, which hasn't been added yet, but it would only stop the MC from having sex with pregnant characters, it wouldn't suddenly stop Emily being pregnant.

Of course, I'll try and avoid putting any of the more divisive content into story scenes that can't be skipped. Overall though, I hope for the most part it'll allow players to only see the content they want to see.

As a final note on preferences, sometimes I may add content types to the preferences options that aren't in yet. You can already see this with the Male Pussy option in the screenshot above. Just because a content type is listed, doesn't mean it's in yet. 

So, with all that said, when will the first public release of Episode 2 be? It should be launching on the 29th of March, both on Patreon, Itch and Steam. As with Episode 1, Steam and Itch will keep even with the public releases up until the final release.

Finally, for those wondering, the final V1.0 build of Episode 1 will be going live, a week before Episode 2, on the 22nd of March on Steam and Itch. It'll contain translations for Spanish, Portuguese BR and Simplified Chinese! If you don't own Episode 1 on Steam yet, the Steam spring sale starts in a few hours, so it's a great time to grab a copy! Especially as you can now hide your naughty games on Steam! So your friends and family won't know you've bought it!
