Well, Shamonda and Ralph, I see this episode had y'all as emotional as I was. Shamonda we discussed this on an IG post earlier today. This episode was a love letter to the fans. I am a Daryl and Carol shipper, but I honestly loved the scenes with Carol and Ezekiel. They needed that closure to their relationship. I think it speaks volumes that Ezekiel knew that Carol would go Daryl's place to sort through her thoughts. The concern that Carol gave to Ezekiel regarding his cancer and that little callback to what he told her when they first met was just a chef's kiss in writing. I think that both of them realized that their #cleanlovin was just what it was... two folks who care about each other and wanted to seek comfort with each other on a night they both may die. The Rosita/Eugene/Stephanie dynamic was so great as well and I am glad that Rosita and Eugene have completely resolved their differences and can move on with their friendship. Bless her heart, Lydia is such an old soul and she basically called out Carol on her vengenance mode and Carol finally seems to be at peace with the reasons she is continuing on with her quest. The montage with Eugene singing was precious...seeing all our family preparing for battle and yes, I too, lost it when Ezekiel brought Henry's armor to Lydia. Daryl looking on from above at his people preparing made me so proud. He has changed so much from that redneck who threw the squirrels at Rick way back at the quarry. I love that Zeke and Daryl have come to an understanding with mutual respect and are going to work together to save the kids. I was squalling with the conversation with Judith and Daryl and having prison flashbacks when he fed her the first time. Some backstory, Cailey who plays Judith and Norman Reedus actually worked together to design the wing. Norman gave her suggestions and made her promise "no glitter" and Cailey painted it. There are ten stars on the wing to represent each season of the show. And now the good stuff.... Carol spent this time making amends with those people she has hurt and the one she was most fearful of losing. I agree with you, Shamonda, Carol held her breath until she heard Daryl say those magic words and that was all she needed. As Norman said on Talking Dead, Daryl and Carol will need to have a heart to heart talk later, but in that moment Carol needed to know that Daryl still had her back. They can move forward from here and it was a moment masterfully portrayed by Norman and Melissa. And can we talk about how proud we are of Daryl Dixon! He is such an amazing leader and I am afraid and hopeful for next week as to which of our family survives and which ones fall. I love both your reactions and you two are a blessing to our TWD Family. Love y'all bunches and see you next week.
