As we’ve mentioned in the past, this game will have fast-paced combat segments as you clear the Corrupted plaguing the cyber worlds. What better companion to bring along than a sword-enshrined high level Corruption Virus? She’s not thrilled about being trapped in her weapon form, but she IS quite pleased about getting to cause some damage~


The Short and Sweet:

The Sword, once a powerful Proto Queen, was sent to infect and conquer the world but was defeated in the First Virus War. Unable to kill her, scientists turned her into a dangerous V-Weapon. They failed to find a suitable wielder and sealed her away, but she went missing during transport

For the Lore Enthusiasts:

Once, the Sword was a powerful Proto Queen sent by the Virus Queen to infect and conquer the world. It caused immense chaos in VLT, almost bringing the city to its knees. The citizens fought back against the Corruption, but the situation looked grim. The First Virus War erupted as the Proto Queen and her army ravaged the world. 

In response, System HQ developed V-Weapons capable of harming and defeating the Corrupted. An elite team armed with these weapons was sent to ambush the Proto Queen and end the war. Despite the collapsing frontlines and the Proto Queen's confidence in victory, the elite troops successfully ambushed and subdued her, marking the war's conclusion. 

However, since the V-Weapons were created using the essence of lesser Corrupted, they couldn't completely kill her. Instead, they brought her to System HQ's research labs to study her, hoping to find a permanent solution. After years of failed attempts, they resorted to their final option: transforming her into the ultimate V-Weapon capable of killing other Proto Queens. Unfortunately, she retained her consciousness and corrupted anyone who touched her. 

Unable to find anyone strong enough to wield her, the scientists decided to seal her away, far from any living beings. Tragically, during the transport through The Emerald Vale, the truck carrying her went missing along with the Sword itself.

Voiced by the iconic Autumn Ivy, the Sword is our first of two Emerald Vale inhabitants to be introduced this week. We cannot wait for you to forge your path forward with her and her many surprising abilities!
