The monastery of Varlaam sits atop a large rock formation in Meteora, Greece. Look at this place and tell me it's not absolutely epic. This is something I've wanted to draw for a long time and I hope I do it justice. I'll probably draw a sideview as well, but this is the art for the map itself done.

Well, what do you think so far?

By the way, it looks like the Château de Brézé will be the next historical map. I actually went there last year and took a TON of pictures specifically so I could draw a map of the place later. Castles with complex networks of caves and tunnels underneath them are much more common in D&D maps than in real life, but this place is one exception. Anyway, I think you're gonna like it.

This is awesome! Where does the path down go after it goes out of view on the map? Through a tunnel? Just under a cliff?

Your Mont St. Michel town was what got me to sign up as a patron, and I have been happy with every map since! This one looks like it will be awesome!

Glad you liked it, Mont-St-Michel is the most difficult map I've ever drawn. This place isn't nearly as big or complex, but it's still really cool.
