The 44th Cartographic Congress Vote (Patreon)
Content
This is an excellent month for the Cartographic Congress. We've got 10 proposals and they're really good. It almost feels like there's sort of a theme to them, like a lot of these could be locations in a single campaign. A campaign with a lot of gambling and interplanar travel. Have a look, maybe you'll see what I mean. As always, feel free to discuss, ask questions or elaborate on your proposals:
Carl proposes a multi-level village built in and around the branches and trunk of a giant tree. The buildings of the village are connected by bridges.
Silas proposes a magitech train station in the style of Victorian London, with shops, a lounge and a ticket booth. Some of the platforms lead to other planes of existence.
Morgan proposes a great bazaar in a caravan city in the steppes.
AN7 proposes a drow farming and ranching village in the Black Loch. The villagers fish, herd rothe, and grow mushrooms and other underdark crops.
Chaan proposes a beholder's lair, featuring vertical passages between levels for its occupant to levitate through.
Jon proposes the Carnival of Carnage, a diabolical fairground with suspicious food, dangerous games and rides, a haunted house containing real undead, and a tent for a demonic three-ring circus in the center.
Adam proposes a map of an Eastern Orthodox cathedral in a gothic/Ravenloft-style.
Joe proposes a flying casino with stables and arena stands built around it for spectators to watch the pegasus races held there.
Fabian proposes a large, three-hulled Roman-style ship with a casino and various amusements built on its decks. The ship has a fighting pit, a labyrinth with traps and treasures, a gambling hall, a small menagerie, and cabins for the passengers and crew.
Odd proposes a map of an interplanar zoo, where visitors from many planes of existence come to see creatures from across the multiverse. The zoo will have sections for different biomes, with gardens and landscaping along the paths between them.
