I've had a few questions lately about how to print the 1-inch grid versions of my maps, so I thought I'd explain the two main ways to do it:

1)Take it to a print or copy shop and let them deal with it. This does cost money, but they can probably print it on a single sheet and they almost certainly have a better printer than you.

2)Print the map from a .PDF file using page tiling. This allows you to print a single image across multiple pages. The .PDF versions of all maps can be found here. And this page explains how to do it. It's pretty simple. Why can you only do this with .PDFs? I have no idea.

There are other options as well, like using a poster printer, but if that's something you have access to, I imagine you don't need me to explain it. If you have any questions, let me know and I'll do what I can to help.

I almost asked a question about this last night but figured I was being stupid. I ended up printing from my phone using a cropping feature in my printer's app. Thank you for this update, I'll use the .pdf trick for now.

No, it's not just you. Printing a big image on multiple pages seems like something that you'd be able to do in any program with any image format, but somehow it's not.
