Sorry for the belated episode!

This is the make-up $10 Britainology that was supposed to come out in April, in which we continue our deep-dive into Michael Apted's UP series. For this episode, we discuss the 1998 installment 42 UP, with some digressions about adolescent bullying and the concept of the hose that sprays pebbledash. We hope you enjoy.

I think the first QOSTA album was in 1995, but they didn't really breakthrough until "Songs For the Deaf" came out. Similar story with the White Stripes. They put out 2 albums before anyone in the mainstream noticed they were even there. And before that, Josh Homme was playing in legendary stoner band, Kyuss. Weirdly, "Songs for the Deaf" feels more like a debut album for them.
