WAAH, WAAH, WAAH! You heard that a lot during this era of WWF in 1999, as Big Bossman set out to torment as many babyfaces as he could, especially The Big Show. On this edition of the DEADLOCK Retro Sync, we take a look back at the boys' review of this episode of SmackDown from November 1999, where The Big Bossman decides to interrupt the funeral that is taking place for The Big Show's father!

Just a causal 3 days before Big Show wins the World title (shoulve been test) and I love this big show probably his best most consistent chokeslams as well. The best was vs Benoit at a clash in late 96 in one of the best squash matches ever. Benoit gets his legs like 12 feet in the air

When a local video store closed down I got two WWF VHSs: Rebellion 1999 (Which was in October before No Mercy, if you don't know. Also, this one was hidden in a Rebellion 2001 box so I got lucky) and Survivor Series 1999. Rebellion 1999 was main evented by an absolutely amazing cage match between HHH and Rock, ruined by Bulldog who was infamously doing his, "WHERE'S MY TITLE SHOT" bit the entire night. This entire angle had resulted in the dog poop segment, and the Rock as guest referee. The latter is arguably the greatest Smackdown moment of all time. There was also some great, uncensored profanity that has since been censored on the network. I'm, in hindsight, really glad I got this one instead of Rebellion 2001. Survivor Series 1999 had HHH v Rock v Show on the cover and at the time I thought more guys meant a better match so I went with it. Little did I know this would not only become a classic because of Stone Cold, but Big Boss Man. I also enjoy moments like d'lo and godfather, Sexay giving matt the apron powerbomb, and kurt angle's debut. I would give a lot to have those VHSs again...especially the uncensored version of Rebellion 1999. Thanks to those tapes the period from August to November 1999 has a very, very, VERY special place in my heart.

That Al Snow action figure that came with head was legit the first wrestling toy I ever got.
