You can still definitely enjoy Railgun as it is, it just like watching Fate. You will miss some lore, but you will still enjoy what the show offer.

True, but my list is (mostly) chronological. Also brianxstephanie, regarding the movie, you can technically watch it after Index II, it doesn't matter when you watch it.

I would not worry about the watch order so much. I first watched railgun and then index complet. I actually suggested only railgung on purpose because i think it is the best part of the series. Especially the sister arc is better in railgung than index. Also the vote is for railgun and not the entire series. If you like the railgun part you can still make a reaction to index.
