Well that's embarrassing, I apologize for the re-post but I stopped by today and saw that in my rush to go to sleep since it was around 5 in the morning I posted my comment under the schedule rather then then on one of the videos. My OCD compels me to post it again i the correct place so this is the exact same post I did on the Schedule just copy/pasted. Again sorry for re-posting: For a more clear explanation of why Asta's Anti-Magic didn't work think of it like this. The Demon Slayer and Demon Dweller swords that he has with his Anti-Magic have the power to negate magic as the magic spell is happening. For example if someone casts a fire spell at a person, Asta can cut through the spell and stop it and the person would be perfectly safe. But if someone cast a fire spell at someone and Asta wasn't able to stop it and they got hit then even if Asta touched them with with his sword the burn injuries they got from the magic wouldn't go away because the magic spell is already finished. He can negate magic when it's happening but he can't undo the effect of magic after it's already finished. His Anti-Magic can't heal injuries caused by magic or fix objects destroyed by magic. If it was a simple mind control spell that controls a person as long as the spell is in effect he could get rid of it but the Reincarnation spell is already done and the elves taking over the bodies is just the after effect of the completed spell. Maybe if he had been at the stone tablet when Patry put in the last magic stones in he might have been able to stop it by stabbing the tablet with his sword before the spell finished but it's too late now, the spell was cast successfully.
