There is some info about the ending from the 5th episode: "The ending sequence was directed by Vercreek, an 18-year-old animator from the Philippines. Vercreek previously worked as a key animator on titles such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan The Final Season and this was his directorial debut."

They might have watched the Fan Subbed version of that episode because the Fan Subs say Kaguya's Mom is alive while the Crunchyroll subs says she died

I just watched their reaction of s2 ep8 when Chika said Kaguya's mother passed away from a heart disease, They just forgot :)
