So that aura belonged to Pouf (Pouf also said he wouldnt trust anyone else with that responsibility. Pitou is currently healing the kings arm, and I believed it mentioned that it takes up too much aura. Also if it was Pitou's aura, Knov would not have made it to the trees. Also, whats interesting is when Gon and Killua encountered Pitou, Pitou's aura gave off her intentions, which I think was a bit more extreme as it was giving off beyond murderous vibes, I believe the show labeled it as "Malice" when Pitou stormed Kite and the kids. Just an fyi

The main reason Knov was broken mentally after that was because he was in zetsu throughout the entire infiltration (Zetsu seals away your aura and you can easily be demolished by the smallest attacks even by sensing). And he sensed the full brunt of Pouf's aura. But Gon and Killua probably weren't as intimidated becuase they had their guard up during the confrontation with Pitou. Imagine if they didn't shroud themselves in aura. Killua would definitely be intimidated but Gon might still go on because he is insane.

On the other hand Knov didn't even come in contact with Pouf's aura and Pouf was completely unaware of him, Gon and Killua smack dab in the middle of Pitou's aura and got hit with Pitou's murderous intent. So I think you could likely compare the situations quite well.
