Haha you’ll get your answers soon enough. Each time subaru speaks about return by death, there’s a punishment as you’ve seen. In episode 7, 10, and 13 - his heart was squeezed, but I believe this time because he said “I don’t care if I end up vomiting blood”, it told us viewers that he doesn’t care about his own life anymore, so then “it” decided to give him a more extreme punishment by killing Emilia right infront of him

Emilia isn't Puck's daughter, he just refers to her that way since Puck has taken care of her ever since she was little. He just placed himself in that father role

2021-09-19 04:40:06 This might help with yr qns, right before the white whale appeared, there was a huge fog (prev ep). Subaru was asking about the bandana guy riding the carriage beside them but Otto & Rem doesn't seem to rmb that guy at all too. Otto also said that a punitive force was assembled by Lugunica to subjugate the whale but it killed the former sword saint. But about Beatrice telling Subaru to die, i think it's because Subaru asked beatrice to kill him and she replied that she had enough of (experiencing) pain, lost etc in her lifetime to go through it again. That's why she sent him away because he wanted to die and she doesn't want to see it, she probably came to care more about Subaru than she led on seeing her hurt expression at the end. idk bout Beatrice too haha but it's clear she doesn't react much when ppl die (mabybe cause she seen too much death or it's smt else), flashback to when Rem died due to the mana curse or emilia dying from Subaru's curse, she didn't even flinch :')
