I decided to end the book with 3 "what's next" illos because I knew there would be some readers who would be mad not having certain things spelled out explicitly (like, if so-and-so lived or not, etc). At least online I can get yelled at and be coy and play games and whatever, lol, but books are More Serious and I don't actually want to piss off my readers too hard, so that's what these pages are for XD

Bex returns to Earth and as expected, is beset by physical issues. Unlike Mike and the other primarily non-permanent colonists on Mars, the permanent colonists of First Wave Initiative (aka "FWI," aka the letters I forgot to draw on her shoulders for nearly every single scene and then had to go back and reinsert them) did not take supplements and medications to counteract the low Martian gravity, or prepare them for a return to Earth. Bex had not been on Mars terribly long but the permanent damage was done to her bone density and some organs. So she wears an exoskeleton now, which she is secretly finds ironic/ amusing from an ento point of view, and will likely be dealing with issues from her decisions for the rest of her life in some way or another. Her relationship with her kids is also strained, but Tayo is thinking about things. Olumorewa is probably more interested in Pokemon Century or whatever game just came out, but maybe one day he'll have an opinion on his mom going to hell and back to make things right.

Bex eventually returns to research and starts her own company. She enjoys staying busy and, while completely disinterested in remarrying, makes time for her boys as much as possible.

This illo is meant to lightly recall Gobero from Chapter 1.

How's her ex-husband doing with all this?

Okay I guess. They are not really friends but are cordial with each other. He is generally a lot more traditional than Bex is. Under Yoruba customary law, the father will often receive full custody of the sons and the mother will receive custody of the daughters. In addition to that under the normal circumstances, there was a good reason him to deny Bex visitation at all. But for the sake of his son's development, he gave permission for them to visit her (if they wanted). He remarried before Bex went to Mars so he's already got a new larger family dynamic but overall, he's decided to be kind,
