The story idea should be original...  YOUR idea, not someone else's.
You CAN RE-SUBMIT past ideas. Every contest I have to pass on great ideas to be able to choose only 2. I've even reached out to some of you in the past saying I hope you can re-submit your idea if it doesn't win! (Don't worry if I didn't reach out to you- I didn't get to do that every time I wanted to. Life gets busy and it's a lot of reading. There's been LOTS of good ideas submitted.)

If you have an already written multi-page story and want to submit it... you have to submit a quick paragraph summary of it. I won't have time to read a multipage story and will just have to pass over it 'disqualifying' it.
