UPDATE- I've started the inking process on the comic! I've read through the comments below and it seems like I'm fairly in line with what everyone is feeling. We'll see a room that isn't a replica of the original - something very similar but with a few differences and enhancements to the idea of the room. I myself much prefer the original over the remake for this particular room. Even though the special effects are not as good in the original, the believability of the concept seems to be reinforced better. Anybody else wondering about the special uniforms they wear in there?...

If you haven't seen or heard, Wendy Wonka 2.5 (a well-balanced diet) is happening in 3 installments due to its length which is longer than normal. I need to stretch the work out over the course of 3 months so pre-orders will get 2 chances to download early.

I've already completed all the rough draft/storyboarded page layouts and i'm pushing past the half way mark for pencils!

There's a lot of shrinking in this installment. The location: the Wonkavision room! QUESTION: Would you like to see the original Wonkavision room or would you prefer to see a little bit of a twist or a little more enhancements done to the room?

Which movie had the better Wonkavision room scene? Original or remake?

I'd like to see Wendy giving it her own twisted spin. The Wonkavision was her brother's creation, now she's made it her own!

Love to see a character stuck in a tv world gorging on all kinds sweets in wonka commercials as she changes the channels

I would love to see a twist on the wonkavision room😃 The remake was great but the classic is just that. It's like in music comparing Korn to Ministry, gotta go with the classics.😁

Maybe a mesh of the two with your twist. The giant TV camera from the first, with the tube from the second film. But yes, a Wendy twist would be great all the same. The 1971 had those great white outfits. Would have been neat to see some expansion in them. The idea of seeing someone split into atoms above everyone is a neat idea too, maybe tossing candy into the air makes it mix with them and gets them bigger when they reconstitute.

The giant camera from the first one really sells it but I'm sure that Wendy would have made a few changes.

I like both Wonka vision rooms. I’d be down to see a twist on them bringing the original and the remake together. The real question is are they going to wear the suits. If there’s an expansion in the wonka tube will that prevent the inflatee’s bare belly from being exposed?

So far, I've got the suits written into the story- we will find out why they are supposed to wear the suits...

I thought so! Lol it would be my way to go if I got to pick. Being stuck in a tv world, only able to eat endless wonka candy and getting fatter and fatter, unable to get out because she only knows how to send them to the tv world not get them back

Sorry i'm just seeing this, but for this guy there are a few things to answer: 1) In regards to the two versions, i think they were close enough to each other to be enjoyable in both, but i always appreciated the giant camera a little more as it did not seem quite as generic. I always liked the mike in the original just saying shoot me, as opposed to the other one doing all the ridiculous moves as he was floating. 2) In regards to the design of the factory, i think the winner would of course be something of a twist where we see almost like a stage in Cruella, with a Milan like stage and curtains, only for it to still be in black and white. Wendy would easily explain how she was inspired by the shows or a movie and wanted to add fab to her brother's drab without ever really getting rid of the inventions. I could see her in a changing room and dressing up in her latest flare, to say i went through a black and white period like all artists' do or something like that. 3) If i could put anything into the movie scene it would be similar to what some of them have said above, except they somehow accidentally get placed inside the realm of the movie. For instance, how funny would it be if the character went into that 70s show and ate the pie turning them into a blueberry and Milk Kunis just looks over with a surprise like, was that going to happen to me? Or what if they went on a commercial that was for like yogurt or maternity and by joining the commercial she would wind up pregnant? So many shows to put them into to make them transform.

i would love to do a side comic on someone getting zapped into tv shows or movies or wonka candy commercials that sorta thing. But, that was one of the things i didn't like about the remake's scene- how the parody of the 2001 movie distracted from the wonka story (imo) i liked how mike loaded into a blank tv set in the original which seemed to streamline the plot and focus the attention on the shrunken person. But the idea of doing a side story like that where you don't have to worry about the momentum and pacing of the story as a whole sounds really fun!

Yes yes yes on that side comic!!!!
