Is anyone else as excited about the upcoming Mortal Kombat movie as I am? I can not wait! I went back and re-watched the Mortal Kombat movies from the 90's and was surprised that they weren't quite as good as I had remembered. CG has come a LONG way lol. I don't think anyone liked Annihilation but I had a soft place in my heart for it.  I haven't played a Mortal Kombat game since they were on Sega Genesis (which I still have for nostalgia's sake) and was watching youtube videos of the newest ones. They're so over the top gory it's kinda mesmerizing with all the attention to detail they add. It's inspiring! I'll have to do some Mortal Kombat sketches in the lead up to the new movie because I can not contain my excitement. Maybe I'll pick up MK 11 from Gamestop too :P

I was also surprised that I've only done 2 Mortal Kombat commissions- I thought I had done more! What would you want to see in a Mortal Kombat sketch? (The kiss of death drawing got removed from DA by mods)

Definitely my vote is for more babality. Maybe “Adult Babality” (clothing change but stays adult, ends with them pouty and dressed like a toddler) would be cool too.

Hell Yeah I'm excited! I have a lot of expectations for this film, considering that most of the actors in it have actual martial arts experience and it's rate R so we can see all of Mortal Kombat's glorious gore! Having said that, I am really disappointed the Johnny Cage isn't in it.

he was some nice tension relief in the movies and games. His daughter would even be enough to lighten the mood some. She's got some of his personality

Yea it’s an old game so they animation is pretty blah. I think I know which drawing you’re talking about, you reuploaded it without the fire hose I think. It would be a lot of fun adding your own art to that fatality.

The movie could be good, but it all depends on how the action scenes are for me too. The latest scorpions revenge showed what you can do with time and coordination, but the live action films these days sometimes decide to let the go. I'm not a fan of the dragon tattoo calling spin, sort of makes that cheesy, but if they give me fights that are coordinated, characteristic, and filled with that mortal Kombat, i'm totally in. I'm talking about fights that last more than two minutes or involve just quickly killing extras, i want the champion style fights gamers can make (which is why i would love for Netherrealm studios to make a movie using the latest graphic engines and make fights like Deceptions Raiden vs Shang Tsung vs. Quan Chi, or mortal combat shaolin monks opening) Those are awesome!!!!! As for new art, there are plenty of things to have fun with depending on your style. Babality's are a definite you can do, and as someone imagined you could do friendship spins like: One of the girl's being a surrogate, the diapering, doing someone's hair like a little toddlers, or even making a formulary unsexy character into a bimbo/stunning creature, or even transforming someone into a blueberry and the winner rubbing their body with a smile Fatality wise you could always do a scene of D'Vorah the insect queen from X having her spawn about to burst out of the woman fighter can make for a big belly before some insect kids come out. You could even have some of the characters decide to pull some wonka style fatalities into the mix, (giving them blueberry gum and they explode, down a the eggdicator into a spinning gear, chocolate inflation with a chocolate balloon, etc.) And my favorite is the spin on animality transformations. I like the idea mentioned above of cow tis ( my favorite), but you could spin it so that the victor causes them to turn into less powerful animal versions of their transformations (Sonya turning her daughter into a hawk, Liu Kang turning Kitanna into a dragon, etc)
