This week on MSB: we're back with another remarkable episode of Victory dense with big questions: Is war a part of human nature? Is it better to die or to kill? Should we fight for people or for ideals?

And if that's not enough, in the research Thom begins to dive into the world of Japanese advertising agencies as we explore their unsung role in anime production.

Content warning: this episode of Victory alludes to the threat of sexual violence, which we discuss during the talkback.

Please listen to it!

Sounds like you're referencing one of my all time favorite Gundam memes in the preview "We're jumping onto White Base! Arrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!". Have probably watched that video hundreds of times over the years. Love it! Of course the episode also brought me back to the original Gundam when you were referencing the fact that legs weren't needed, something we had with the Zeong.

Wattary's fate really encapsulates Victory Gundam for me. It's tragically horrific and simultaneously silly absurdity, which makes the whole enterprise utterly fascinating. "Ender's Game" was also a really early influence for me, shame about the author. Thanks to Thom for the excellent ear worm too.
