Mobile Suit Breakdown is written, recorded, and produced within Lenapehoking, the ancestral and unceded homeland of the Lenape, or Delaware, people. Before European settlers forced them to move west, the Lenape lived in New York City, New Jersey, and portions of New York State, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Connecticut. Lenapehoking is still the homeland of the Lenape diaspora, which includes communities living in Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Ontario.

You can learn more about Lenapehoking, the Lenape people, and ongoing efforts to honor the relationship between the land and indigenous peoples by visiting the websites of the Delaware Tribe and the Manhattan-based Lenape Center. Listeners in the Americas and Oceania can learn more about the indigenous people of your area at https://native-land.ca/. We would like to thank The Lenape Center for guiding us in creating this living land acknowledgment.

I think that the Unit 2 is a terror weapon, its made to blitz past unaware defenses and delete something.

Tremendous research effort! It definitely makes a fusion bomb explosion seem like an impressively Bad Thing. The problem of reconciling this with other depictions of nuclear weapons in Gundam, onscreen and off, is appropriately a matter for some other day. I also deeply enjoyed the Freudian model of where mobile suits come from. "When a hotshot pilot and a systems engineer love each other very much..." Come to think of it, isn't this the first time in the series that a Gundam has a mommy? In passing, I think the mandate for the series mentioned in those producer interviews was that it was supposed to feature a love triangle involving Federation and Zeon soldiers. So I'd assume the Gato/Nina history was intended from the beginning, and the staff simply didn't feel like devoting screen time to setting it up until now. :-)

I think the bomb itself would not be overkill against asteroid fortresses like Solomon... or Axis.

GundamPodcast

In that situation it might even be underkill! The sheer size and dense compositions of asteroid fortresses make them very resilient against this kind of attack. Even the sustained bombardment from the Solar System did very little damage to Solomon itself, and this bomb looks to have had almost no effect on Konpeito/Confeito despite exploding right next to it...

This whole time they could have been laying the groundwork for a heart wrenching Mora - Keith - Cima romance, and yet!
