This month: things don't work out for MSB but when life gives you lemons you should hold a planning meeting to debrief on what went wrong and why you have so many lemons. That's how the saying goes, right?

This may not be the bonus episode we planned to bring you, but instead it's a sneak peak into our work process and a look forward at the kinds of bonuses we want to make in the future. Plus an opportunity - nay a call - for your suggestions.

Thank you for keeping us going for another month,

- Nina and Thom

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri might be interesting. It's a turn-based 4X game but not a super hard one, so it's not too demanding on forethought and planning either. But to my mind most importantly, it's a game specifically about space colonization, human psychic evolution, environmentalism and old human conflicts reaching even the newest and most fragile frontiers. On the other hand it's from 1999, so it could also be more fruitful to play when covering a late 90s Gundam show.

Nina liked Civ, so as long as we could get Alpha Centauri to run, that's a good option!

Into the Breach might be a good one. It is a turn-based strategy roguelike game where you control mechs (closer to Battletech in looks) and fight bugs with cute retro style art on a 8x8 board. It feels like a puzzle game more than anything. The game is also on the Switch and Steam.
