Podcast Performance Report: September 2019 (Patreon)

Another month come and gone, and it's (past) time for your monthly update on the podcast!

So here are the key September stats:

• Est. total podcast downloads at the end of September: 103,000
• Est. podcast downloads for September: 14,000, down from 15,000 in August. August was an abnormally good month for us, and one with five new episodes, so it's not surprising to see a dip like this. The September downloads are still a significant improvement over July's 13,000. 
• Peak downloads on a single day: 930, recorded on September 14. This was the release day for episode 2.16 "Where the Water Meets the Sky." This beat August's best day (919 downloads) and the old all-time peak (920 in June)!
• September subscriber* peak: 1,563 on September 18, up from August's peak of 1498. 

* Due to the way podcast RSS feeds interact with various podcast apps, "subscribers" fluctuates daily and is only ever a rough estimate.
