The extended edition of episode 1.25 includes a research piece where I talk about the influence of Disney on Osamu Tezuka, and Osamu Tezuka on Mobile Suit Gundam. Here are the references:

- On unexpected humor and slapstick in Tezuka's works.

- How Tezuka's style was influenced by Disney's.

- The Kimba/Simba controversy, artist boycotts and petitions in Japan, and statements by Tezuka Production's staff.

- More of Tezuka's Disney inspired (and even officially licensed) works.

And finally, the snakes! Top to bottom, they are from Osamu Tezuka's Buddha : Devadatta (Vertical, 2006, vol. 3, p. 116-7, originally published 1972-1983), Disney's The Jungle Book (1967), and Mobile Suit Gundam.
