Not directly relevant to "disrating by clothing destruction" But Edgar Evans (of Polar Exploration and "Broke" fame) had a "party trick" in his arsenal where he would pick up another officer by the seat of his pants WITH HIS TEETH. Sometimes he'd rip the seat out too. Not something done in front of crew, and the general mood was it showed high spirits, but he was treated a bit like a badly housebroken puppy.

I have been noticing a deep booming noise in the background of the some of the Drydocks over the last few weeks. Examples are at 47:02 and 48:18 minutes in this video. It took me a while to realize it was on the sound track and not coming from my environment. It’s no big deal but I was just curious what it is.
