I-3 was sunk by a Torpedo from ironically PT-59 (two launched one hit) off Guadalcanal Dec 9 1942.

Hi, I can't make it to the livestreams due to timezone difference, so I'm just going to ask my question here. Hopefully you can get to it: Is Operation Pedestal, the Malta naval resupply mission, considered a success or a failure? My understanding has that 55,000 tonnes of supplies were delivered, but 3x as much were lost to German air and sea attacks forcing the allies to need to send more supplies a few months later. How important was the mission to the overall war in the Mediterranean? Was it worth the losses? I would love to see a video about this mission.
